Speculation over the title of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen is rampant on the internet. Mostly by fans that are hoping that the fallen refers to Megatron’s status (dead) as opposed to an actual name.
Well news hits the net from the toy shelves of China that there is in fact a toy called The Fallen.
Transformers Movie Chronicles reveals:
A toy entitled ‘The Fallen’ has surfaced via Transformers in China, TF08. Its head matches the face seen on the Revenge of the Fallen poster and now confirms that ‘The Fallen’ is indeed a character, rather than a reference to a downed Megatron or Optimus Prime.
I don’t like using the toy releases as a “source”. They brand dozens of toys with the movie title to latch on to the buzz. It doesn’t mean that they will be in the movie. Megatron gets a toy and he has been reported to not be in the movie. The combiner set of Arialbots gets a toy and none of those are in the film either. But if we want to assume that if it gets a toy, its in the film at very least that would have to disqualify Megatron as being the Fallen. They both have toys.
Personally I think that with such a massive threat like The Fallen around, Megatron would be a wasted foe. Let the Decepticon remnant and the Autobots reluctantly join forces to defeat The Fallen and then hint at Megatron’s eventual return. Then in a third movie, Megs can come back with a vengeance. I don’t need Megatron in this sequel. At all.
Transformers Movie Chronicles also has another picture as well as the instruction sheet showing The Fallen’s vehicle mode as some sort of alien Jet.
I remember before anything even started shooting, Michael Bay saying not to believe anything you hear about this film or it’s speculation. That he would purposely be spreading misinformation so that we wouldn’t know what was what. So IMO, all of this is just speculation and no one can say that anything, even these toys can be validated. It’s easy to have a mock up of a toy cast that would never make it to final production, just to get rumors started and throw us off. Additionally, movie trailers have been altered in the past as well. At this point, we are all guessing about every aspect of this film.
And its been widely accepted that the line that he would lie WAS the lie. He has far too much on his plate to have to worry about fabricating falsities.
And most of the information we are getting are not from Bay himself. So far its been from the trailers, people on set, and the toy lines.
All of which are unconfirmed until proven (there was even some retard claiming he got a phone survey asking him to review the plot of TF2 and express his feelings on it)
No matter how hard you try, you cannot have that many people involved in the film and not have SOMETHING come out.

They have never “tested” the market with phone survey’s revealing the plot of movies.
The main reason i’d like to see Megs back is because he had so little screen time, no real interaction with Starscream and his fight with Prime was kinda short considering the near legendary rivalry. I doubt he’ll be back in the 2nd movie so i’m gonna cross my fingers for the 3rd.
I’m curious as to how this new Fallen character figures in to the story as the big bad considering theres a lot of hype about how badass Devastator will be.
I’m not so sure that a toy with such a massive wang can be sold over here in the west.

come on rodney….true megatron isnt the only villain, but he is the leader of the main villain team and the best villain (besides unicron)…its like killing off cobra commander in the first gi joe and never having him come back…..creating a new vilian for the movie’s sake seems dumb to me..
There can be other stories.
I am not saying never to have megatron, but you all make it sound like there is no conceivable way there can be a good story without him.
And Serpentor was leader of Cobra for a while and it was fine.
why would the rod get prime killed? he is also an autobot…

i think that if he comes back looking differently as galvatron, it would be awesome, and have the fallen in it with devastator. thats 3 huge villains.
then in the sequel have unicron. with megatron and galvatron dead…and starscream dead (galvatron killed him in T2) have the following villains fight and at the end team up with the autobots to defeat unicron:

-menasor..the stunt decepticons
– shockwave
– blodgeun

Decepticons and Autobots reluctantly join forces to try and defeat The Fallen. They still prove to be no match for him until the very end when the resurrected Megatron makes a surprise appearance and tips the balance in their favour. Megatron and the Decepticons then leave, vowing that this was only a one-off truce, and that they’d be back to finish off their duel with the Autobots once and for all, presumably in Part 3.
That would be the biggest waste of Megatron’s return EVER.
Why waste a storyline with Megatron’s return just to have him admit weakness?
People have to stop dwelling on Megatron like he is the ONLY enemy of the Autobots.

Yeah, they’re probably going to save him towards the end and when he shows up the screen will go black and “to be continued…” will show on the screen or the credits will start rolling, leaving open part 3. I’m just saying. This just an idea.
this is definitely not how its gonna be but i would like it at the end starscream is starts ranting telling all the decepticons to follow his commands and then he says “anybody dares to challenge me step forward” then you hear a voice yell “I CHALLENGE!!!” then the starscream looks up and say “OH SHIT!!”. I know probalby won’t be that way, but just a thought.

Sadly for the entertainment value of the International Friends I won’t violate any vegetables.
However if he IS in the movie, these people will only be right out of random guessing because there is no concluding proof yet.
I am never afraid to admit I am wrong, but I have no reason to think these people are right short of just bluffing.
I could start a campaign insisting that there will be a Spiderman Cameo (Issue 3 of the US comic had Spidey in the black costume face off against Megatron) but if I did, it would just be me making something up and not based on fact.
I also predicted Obi-Wan Kenobi was a clone. but that was just hopeful speculation too.
i read a comic book were the avengers fight against the decepticons and ironman fights megatron at the end…it was pretty sick if you ask me….
i like the idea of “the fallen” as a separate character better than him and megatron being the same character.

in transformers, starscreams toy was blue and red…and in the movie he was grey
so im 100% sure that in the movie he wont be purple grey and light brown…im sure hell be black…you know…like in the CLOSE UP poster of him where hes BLACK

It would disquality Megatron, I agree. I know some people have used that as possibilities. Unlike what Bay says though, I’m pretty sure Megatron is in the movie, as he is seen not only once, but twice in the trailer. You may not believe it, Rodney, but the two scenes in question, if you get a good look, you can tell that there’s rust. As far as I know, only the dead Decepticons would have rust, cause they were dumped into the ocean, which would include Megatron. And since The Fallen doesn’t seem to be a tank, I would then go to the most obvious, and say Megatron, since he is a tank. Just my 2 cents.
We didn’t see Megatron once or twice in the trailer. We didn’t see him at all.
You only assume that a hand that is the same style and colour as Starscream’s (in the immediate scene before) and no other scenes that show Megatron at all.
And only the dead decepticons have rust? How many dead decepticons have we been introduced to in this franchise so far? Oh yeah… none.
And the “tank” Megatron toy transforms into is alien and the only tanks we see in the trailer are military.

They can chew all they want. There is nothing but hopeful guesses that says Megatron will even be MENTIONED in this movie.
I predict a lot of people being disappointed when Megs isn’t in this. I only side to think he won’t because NO ONE has offered any proof that would lead to him being there at all.

No, Megatron or not the movie will still be a hit at the boxoffice.
There are SO many theories about what is going to happen, who is in it, and how it all plays out that even the haters will throw down their money just to see who was right.
I just haven’t seen anything that sounds convincing to say Megatron is in it. A spot of rust on a fist that looks just like Starscream’s the second after a clip of Starscream lunging at Sam is hardly proof.

In the trailer that thing is huge!!! Does anyone know exactly what it is yet…i mean what form it takes after here in the human world!!! The trailer makes the fallen look like it is going to wipe its ass with the autobots and decepticons alike
