Imagine me & you trailer

ImagineMeandYou.jpgIt’s rare nowadays that we see a trailer for a movie that relies on a strong script, well delivered lines, good editing and a great score. Usually we’re struck by CGI, epic-ness and fastly cut action sequences. So I was delighted when I watched the trailer for Imagine Me & You, because it looks wonderful, heart wrenching, warming, and all that first list.

Thanks to Cinemablend for popping me in the direction of the Apple Trailer site to find the trailer for this gorgeous looking comedy.

So far I’ve done very well and stayed away from the topic that is covered in the movie, that of (as Darren Boyd delivers so well in the trailer) switching teams just before a planned wedding. The blurb goes:

Heck and Rachel are a happy young couple about to embark on life together. But at the church, Rachel catches the eye of an unexpected guest. In that moment, she realizes that maybe Heck isn’t the one for her. What follows is the romantic, humorous and sometimes poignant journey familiar to anyone who’s ever been lucky (or unlucky) enough to be under love’s spell.

You have to watch the trailer, it’s quite funny, and looks surprisingly good. I’m keeping my eyes peeled for this one.

  1. Words cannot effectively convey how much I’m want to see this film. FINALLY! A romantic comedy that appears well-made and has a gay twist. Let the boys have BROKEBACK – I want IMAGINE!

  2. Is it just pure coincidence that the title of this movie as to do with the lyrics from “Happy Together”… which is the main song that was used for the soundtrack for Wong Kar Wai’s “Happy Together” (aka. “Buenos Aires Affair”), which also delt with homosexual love?

It’s just something that I thought of, upon seeing the trailer.
