Jolie instead of Cruise on Edwin A. Salt

Last month the rumour mill had pegged Tom Cruise to star in superspy action flick Edwin A Salt. But over a month passes and no confirmation on that? Well we found out why. Seems that Angelina Jolie got the job instead. So would that make it Edwina?? Thats just not a pretty girly name is it?
Rope of Silicon reported the rumour that was quickly confirmed today.
Entertainment Weekly has scored news that it may not end up being a male lead at all, but the role may be rewritten for a female.EW has learned Columbia Pictures may be negotiating with Angelina Jolie to star with Noyce still attached to direct.
Well it worked with Battlestar Galactica and that was a known character. I see no problem with the movie being re-written with a female lead, especially when that lead is the tolerable type of crazy – Angelina Jolie. Yeah, she’s got boobies and those sexy eyes. She can do whatever she wants.
Movies like Mr and Mrs Smith managed to prove that Jolie can pull of believable action, so I am all for this!
And think about it. Tom Cruise was to play a spy who is on the run from his own organization in a desperate attempt to clear his name? I liked that movie better when it was Mission Impossible.

I like looking at Angelina Jolie a lot more than Tom Cruise so I endorse this.
You don’t say who “Noyce” is. My best guess is Phillip Noyce, who directed Jolie in “The Bone Collector”. That’s reason enough for me.
Totally, bring Jolie in.
Jolie is overrated in every way possible.
Except for that way where she is a good actor and a really hot woman?
