Eck

We have an excerpt from an interview Eckhart gave in the LA Times and was made available to us thanks to the good people over at comingsoon: (Possible Spoiler!)

“I can tell you that, basically, when you look at Two-Face, you should get sick to your stomach. Being the guy under all that, well, that was a lot of fun for me. It’s like you would feel if you met someone whose face had pretty much been ripped off or burned off with acid. I can’t talk about it beyond that because I don’t want to give away too much of the plans by Chris.”

The thing is, he and Nolan did give away more in the interview, which includes a new photo (see above) and can be read in full here! The Batman Begins follow-up hits conventional theaters and IMAX on July 18.

I had the chance to see the most recent Batman trailer on the big screen yesterday when I saw Iron Man, and I was pretty excited to see Eckhart on screen with Christian Bale. The two look like they play off of each other very well, and I am looking forward to seeing Eckhart’ s rendition of Two-Face. I have never been that fond of the character, although in Batman: The Animated Series - he was pretty awesome. I hope Eckhart is more like the voice actor in the cartoon than Tommy Lee Jones in Batman 3.

It kind of worries me how much of Two-Face we will see in this movie. I hope they don’t do the same mistake as the Spider-man 3 people did with Venom, introducing him and concluding the character’s story in the same movie

July 18th? i that TDK had a June release.
and hey, I LIKED Tommy Lee Jones in Batman Forever. altho i am looking more 4ward 2 Nolans Two-Face.

so Doug, watd u think of Iron Man?

  4. Trust me folks, there is a huge spoiler in the LA Times article, and i’ve been regretting reading it ever since. Turn away now, fly you fools.

  5. Thanks for the warning Phil.

  6. I loved Iron Man Jason! So much time was spent on the suit construction. Star Wars 3 could have used more of that.

TLJ and Jim Carey were way too similar in Batman 3 for me to enjoy either performance

Yup, HUGE spoiler in the article. I mean, REALLY REALLY HUGE SPOILER that gives away the fate of one of the characters.

    **warning possible spoilers***

I dont have a prob with the two guys, plus a possible scarecrow, and intro to riddler being in this film, because i think they can do it, but i wish one series would try just having one villian in the sequels, they always have to add more then one, and they usually dont work. ie the batmans, spiderman 3.

toward the end of the new trailer, if you pause the scene where dent is holding a gun in the backseat of a car, you can glimpse a bit of his scarred face. download the hd quicktime trailer, it’s kinda cool.

Who saaid anything about a Riddler intro in TDK? I know there was some speculation about a character being played by Anthony Michael Hall but there was never any confirmation.

Anyway, I was spoiled by that article as well, but I think its something alot of people were expecting anyway.

As far as Two-Face’s screen time, I think we will see his transformation at the beginning of the third act or third hour of the film and not at the very end like we all thought.

I dont think this film is going to set up a sequel, but be more of a stand alone that lends itself to a sequel down the road. But I think most of the story is going to get tied up, hence the 3+ hour run time.

I just hope there is enough of Heaths Joker to keep me satisfied in this movie!

    Riddler = no

All the fanboys would know by now if someone were cast for the Riddler. The movie is about the Joker and Harvey Dent becoming Two-Face. Scarecrow is in there but he was not a major villain in the first movie nor will he be in this movie most likely. It shows him driving a car in teh trailer that batman falls on and crashes. Batman still has his old suit on so probably the Scarecrow is in the beginning of the movie and that is it.

And btw, there was a leaked picture of Two-Face already….the messed up side. People are loving it, I think it looks alright. Harvey looks kinda like half a zombie.

uh oh! 3 major villains featured here. has everybody forgotten that Doc Crane The Scarecrow will be appearing in this one too?..

I dont know about the scarred face but I definitely saw the bit where he’s being held down onto some acid.
