Sugar Season Two Episode Two Arrives This Friday on Apple TV

The stylish neo-noir detective series Sugar returns with its second episode this Friday, June 26, on Apple TV. Following the season two premiere on June 19, the show continues its weekly rollout of new episodes through August 7.

In the upcoming episode titled Downer Town, the search for a missing person named Ji leads the protagonist into dangerous territory. Meanwhile, Danny is forced to resort to desperate measures as the mystery deepens. The series features Colin Farrell, who stars as the iconic private detective and film enthusiast John Sugar. This season finds the investigator taking on a new case involving the older brother of a local boxer while he continues his personal search for his own sister.

A New Chapter for the Neo-Noir Series

Created by Mark Protosevich, the series offers a contemporary take on the private detective genre. The second season expands the cast with new additions including Jin Ha, Raymond Lee, Tony Dalton, Laura Donnelly, and Sasha Calle, along with special guest star Shea Whigham. Sam Catlin serves as showrunner and executive producer for the current season.
