Friday the 13th Short Film Sweet Revenge Returns to YouTube

The Friday the 13th short film Sweet Revenge has officially returned to YouTube. The project, which serves as a piece of the Jason Universe initiative, had been unavailable online for nearly seven months.

Director Mike P. Nelson previously noted that the short film’s initial removal was tied to the end of its promotional period. The project, which features Ally Ioannides and stuntman Schuyler White as Jason Voorhees, was produced by Horror, Inc. as part of a collaboration with Angry Orchard Hard Cider.

A Return to the Jason Universe

When it was first released, Sweet Revenge marked the first official piece of live-action content for the franchise in sixteen years. Following a long period of legal disputes and development challenges for the series, the short film offered fans a brief return to the woods. While the project received mixed reactions upon its debut, its return provides an opportunity for those who missed it to catch up on this specific chapter of the franchise.

The short is now available to view once again on the official YouTube channel. For those interested in the broader future of the series, Horror, Inc. continues to develop a new feature film and the prequel series Crystal Lake, which is currently slated for a 2026 premiere.
