He commended the film’s look, tone, and casting, particularly the performances of Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.
Martin also praised the film’s villain, saying that Hoult’s portrayal of Lex Luthor was ‘far and away the Best Luthor of All Time’. He also praised the film’s visuals, stating that the special effects were ‘truly incredible’.
