Movies often use the tactic of viral campaigns to gain momentum in today’s society as bus ads, trailers, interviews, press rounds, and good ol fashion word of mouth are no longer enough to generate the buzz for blockbuster films. Marc Webb’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ is no different and today we get a look at some of the guerrilla tactics in play to promote the new film.
Apparently you blokes in london can actually go to the new site to promote the film to actually sign up for a screening! Hurry up before they change their mind. I think it would make more sense for the film to premiere in both New York and London at the same time. Seeing as Spider-Man takes place in New York, yet Andrew Garfield is British, so both cities could get some Spidey love for the appropriate reasons.
Wish I lived in London….
