The polls will be active until Feb. 27th, the day of The 83rd Academy Awards. We are only polling these ten categories. These polls will not affect the outcome at the 83rd Oscars, although we can fool ourselves into thinking so.
We will find out how Oscar lines up with the choices of the Intl friends. That's also why I put up the foreign language and docs up in the poll- because many of the readers don't limit themselves to a small handful of films alone, but a wide variety.

hahaha! You guys are forgetting that this is from a nerd perspective. Don’t you recall the outrage, from our nerd community, when Inception wasn’t nominated for more Oscars? I sure do. Im glad this kind of gives us a bit of hope, but the only chance Inception has at winning anything is a very slight one with Original Screenplay. We had a pretty damn good year, this years Oscars are going to be great.
I agree Inception is good but not better than true grit or toy story 3. Toy Story 3 in my opinion was the best movie of the year and I think it will win!
I’m surprised that the plurality of readers chose Inception as Best Picture… I really only think it was a solid B on the whole, which is great for a Hollywood blockbuster, but not one of the three or four best movies of the year.
I choose The Dark Night in every category, form now until the end of time.
