First Look at Dennis Quaid as Bill Clinton in Special Relationship

Sometimes when they cast a star to play a real life personality they do such an amazing job making the actor look like the person.

Like Tina Fey’s Sarah Palin and Val Kilmer’s Jim Morrison.

Now if someone had told me this was a recent picture of Bill Clinton, I would never have said, “Man he looks a lot like Dennis Quaid!” But you know what? Thats who this is:

The film is called “Special Relationship” which will be a biopic that follows the relationships of UK Prime Minister Tony Blair with George W Bush and Clinton. It will span through the Clinton affair with Monica Lewinsky, but that is not the “relationship” to which the title is inferring.

And not to take anything away from this, but Michael Sheen looks great as Tony Blair as well and this will mark his third time playing the role. He was Blair in both The Queen and The Deal.

  1. Time for Sheen to get his long overdue Oscar nomiation with this film. He was overshadowed in The Queen by Mirren’s performance. He was BETTER than even Langella in Frost/Nixon, but Nixon was the meatier role, I guess (I thought Nixon was a supporting role, personally and that Sheen carried a very good film). I liked Langella, but I thought Sheen OWNED F/N.

This is supposed to be Sheen’s film, so hopefully he’ll get the glory.

  2. He does look awesome as Clinton. Good, glad to see Dennis Quaid getting some respectable roles again for a change. His more recent movie parts for me have ranged from just ok, to “what the hell”. And I can’t say I’m holding my breath for his next role in Legion. I was beginning to worry about him.

Anyhow, can’t wait to see more on this one.
