First Look at Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow

Seems last night on Entertainment Tonight they talked about the upcoming Entertainment Weekly issue that will be focusing on Iron Man 2 news as well as a ton of info about San Diego Comic Con.

And on that cover is our first look at Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow!!

I had my doubts at first, but the curls and red hair really suit her. Scarlett has no problem with the sexy, but I was worried about the sultry. The second image (from inside the magazine) is a less than flattering pose for her, and I can’t wait to see what the whole getup looks like.

Iron Man blew my socks off, and because of that alone my socks shall remain forever blown, so this just adds more excitement for me.

  2. Not a fan of Scarjo at all, not to worried about her part as Downey will be the reason I see this movie anyway.

    Still would have liked to see a real Russian actress in this role, adding Scarlett for another big name seemed pointless to me as Iron Man already had enough star power.

    Oh well, no turning back now.

  10. I love Scarlett, I think that she is a good actress, and usually does a good job in her movies. It also doesn’t hurt that she is amazingly beautiful, you have your opinion and I have mine. I’m not to sure about the images, and yes I agree the one with her on the ground looking up isn’t all that great, it’s a little scary. I have some high hopes for this movie and I think she will make it work.

  11. wtf you mean she is a horrible actress…..and the didnt blow u away in the prestiege…she wasnt the main actors…hard to steal a movie when u are like 5th billing in a flick…i mean batman, wolverine, and alfred in the same movie where batman has a twin ….get over that dude….and there are way way less talented actress’s…..i mean whould u rather have alba n company playing her….and has any one seen lost i translation..she was wonderful….truely some peoples taste in awesomely hot women that can act are few in far between.

    1. I know what you mean. Truly, there are far less talented actresses out there. And ScarJo really brought a lot to The Prestige, considering her role.

      And I know that Lost In Translation was a long time ago, but hey. Maybe she still has it.

    2. Not to mention that is it better not to hog the spotlight in a great film and a box office hit. or to step out front and center in a bad film and a box office bomb?

      I’m puzzled as to why some peoole don’t think Scarlett’s a good actress. I guess we all forgotten Ghost World by now…

  12. Bad ass. I think she looks pretty damn good. Can’t wait to see her in action using her spy gadgets and such. I’m hoping for a great action scene or 2 with her and Iron Man tag teaming together.

    It’s just so great to see comic book characters you grew up with becoming live action big budget versions. When they’re done right that is.

  15. Let’s see if she acts decent in this one, lately in all of her movie’s she’s pretty much sucked! She was the weakest in “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” and pretty much forgettable in “He’s just not that into you”

    4. rodney is correct…she is on the list and these pics make me happy to see her as the black widow (tho i thought she wouldve been the perfect sue storm)…cant wait to her the accent

    5. ‘Sides, Paltrow was really, really badly cast for her role. I know that I too am going to get blasted, but the chemistry is just all off. It’s almost laughable. I almost think they should replace her. She’s one of the best actors in the entire movie, but she was still badly cast. It’s a real bummer.

      Watch the movie again. Pay attention to the way Paltrow and Downey correspond. It’s just not there.

    6. She was perfect for the role! wtf! Why wont fans EVER be pleased! If its spiderman 3 you all bitch about too much romance, and if its ironman and the movie gave you more origins and “ironman” and less romance, YOU STILL COMPLAIN!!!

      They OBVIOUSLY had chemistry, the way they looked at each other and the way they didnt clearly showed they where suckers for each other

      Gwyneth Paltrow and Kate Blanchett are the two best actresses out there and i dont give a fuck who says any different. Oh and she was casted perfectly for Pepper Pots, there is absolutely NOTHING you could ask more from Gwyn, she did her role well

    8. She did her role perfectly, man. She just didn’t go together well with Robert Downey Jr. Don’t believe me? Fine. But I’m not a discontent “fan”. I’m just analyzing Iron Man like I would any other film. It’s a great movie but it does have flaws. The writer himself admitted that the action was terribly structured, something he hopes to redeem in the sequel.

      And “romance” is not why Spiderman 3 sucked.
