Five New G.I.Joe Character Posters Online

Five new character posters were released for this summer’s G.I.Joe feature film.

I really like the costumes. They are every bit as much as I would imagine a live action adaptation of the very silly over caricaturized personalities of the original 80s cartoon would be. I saw the action figures at the Canadian Joe Con and they translate well back into toys.

I know there is a lot of negativity revolving around this, but so far I anticipate a lot of hokey fun. I am just waiting for someone to say “… and knowing is half the battle”.

You know they are going to fit that in somewhere.

  1. Those posters are AWESOME, but the movie will most likely suck. Seems to me they are doing anything to get people to see it. Ouch…do they know it’s that bad?

  2. I actually looking forward to this movie..

I was huge on them as much as He-man and Thundercats.. but I knew the GI Joe cartoon and watch it occationally as a kid.. So far from what I’ve read.. they are staying true to the characters and the origins of everything.

As far as the Halo suits.. I could care less that they have them.. I don’t play Halo. But alot do. Why not indroduce something new to the franchise. I could see G.I. joe in the 80’s using that.. mind you an 80’s version.. but still. It’s a sign of the times for a sick ass elite military force do able to use something like that… it’s also fantasy. so.

I do hope this movie is good.

  3. They costumes look cool but when I saw the previews I couldn’t help but think of Halo when I was how they looked in actions. The graphics looked too fake and it looked like a video game sequence. Either way I think it’s cool and I mean I’ve been a fan since a kid of GI Joe I have to see the ending result.

  4. weird seeing Marlon Wayans with such a serious look on his face – I keep waiting for the pic to break up and say “whazzzzzuuuupppp?” but yeah, the costumes are intense. tell me storm shadow’s belt doesn’t say ‘latino review!”

    1. You should watch Darren Aronofsky’s Requiem for a Dream. After that movie, I doubt you’ll be seeing him say, “whhhhhaaaaazzzzuuuuupppp!”

    2. That particular image was broken on the net by Latino Review, and typically the site that broke the news will try to watermark the image so you know where it came from.

Its not his belt, its just the only place they could throw a watermark on that busy picture.

      lol

  5. The g.i Joe costumes are pretty cool. but the cobra outfitted ninjas are dead on how i remember.i just hope it isn’t another dragonball.by that i mean i hope its not just a big movie where we enjoy the thrills of ninjas, explosions, sexy laced up hotties, but a lame storyline that doesn’t have memorable style/storyline that i grew up as a kid watching.i keep thinking of what u said about the guy running in the building when the aircraft could have destroyed the tower alone.
