First Look at Worthington’s Perseus from Clash of the Titans

I thought Sam Worthington did a fine job in his role in Terminator. Nothing to make me rave or get all wound up about, but he did his job. For me though, this was just going to be my first taste of Worthington as I was more interested in his upcoming role in the remake of Clash of the Titans.

Well we get our first look of a grittier, more physically impressive Perseus.

I think Worthington is a good fit. Perseus is supposed to be the mortal son of Zeus, and as much as I loved the original, someone like Worthington has a much more demanding physical presence you might suspect from the son of a god.

I can’t wait to see his love interest Gemma Arterton in a toga!

  1. I think Worthington is going to end up being the next big action go-to guy. I think he will ultimately become an outstanding actor overall, but I can see him being a big-time action star right now. I know its a bold statement but he reminds a bit of Russell Crowe with his on screen presence. I agree that while he wasnt “amazing” in Terminator, his presence was awesome and he stole the movie in my opinion.

Needless to say I am pumped for Clash and very excited that Worthington is starring. Cameron must have been impressed for Sam to be getting all these roles thrown at him with nothing else really under his belt. Terminator, Avatar and Clash could end up being quite the trifecta to start off a big time movie career.

  2. cool…..but i cant wait to see avatar, the pictures of the game look like halo meets star wars.
