Today we get our first peek at Josh Brolin sporting the Jonah Hex digs.
He looks right in the role to me. Pretty gruff, but less exaggerated facial scars. Should be interesting to see how this plays out.

Holly crap, I didn’t even know they were making Jonah Hex movie. Let alone got Josh freakin’ Brolin to play the part! Ever since No Country For Old Men I’ve wanted to see him in a comic book movie. But Josh Brolin? This is so great and he is totally perfect for it.
The pic above looks fantastic, can’t wait to see this.
I like Brolin alot but the fact that he was the reason they got rid of the Crank guys and replaced them with the Horton Hears A Who director means I can’t get with this flick until I heard that both Michael Shannon and Will Arnett were in it but it just seems like it’ll be pg geared now.
This is great. I wish they would have done this with two-face in dark knight. The make-up is real and cool.
Why? That would have been completely tame.
He looks like JH, but does anyone know the premise of the film. I only really followed JH when he was in a post-apocalyoptic future. This looks taken from his Western tales.
Is this just a standard Western with a disfigured lead or is there something more to the plot?
Not that there is anything wrong with a Western. Just asking.
wow. elvis?
letdown.
I also think the makeup is quite underwhelming. I was hoping for something more. Either way, Brolin’s a badass, and a good choice for the role. Although, Thomas Jane wouldn’t have been bad, either.
@vito, good call on thomas jane, he would have been great… is it to early to start talking about a reboot? ;)
same here on the make-up, but i think josh brolin is going to do a great job
Brolin is a great actor. I was always impressed with the role he played in the 2000 film he co-starred in with Kevin Bacon titled ‘HollowMan’. I know he’s done more stuff, such as ‘No Country For Old Men’ and all, but ‘HollowMan’ is where I know him from.
As for that pic, I think he looks great in the make-up, but I also can’t help but feel that it should be more grotesque. Maybe it’s the picture quality, maybe not. Should get some interesting news in the coming weeks about this flick for sure.
“I also can’t help but feel that it should be more grotesque”
I kinda felt the same judging by the way his drawn. Maybe some CGI makeup will be added later.
Hallow Man, really? I know him from The Goonies! lol
not only the goonies but a tv western show named “young riders”.
Today is not my birthday.

Happy Birthday to everyone anyway!!!
Because it damn well feels like it!
