Highscool Musical cutey Ashley Tisdale is lined up to remake Teen Witch.
“High School Musical” actress Ashley Tisdale is in negotiations to star in a remake of “Teen Witch” for United Artists says the trades.
The original 1989 fantasy musical starred Robyn Lively as an unpopular high school teen who learns she’s a descendant from the witches of Salem and has inherited their powers. A writer is currently being sought to pen the update.
Back in highschool, I actually liked Teen Witch. Mostly because I could relate, being in the unpopular crowd in highschool. But also because it leaned heavily on the glam styles and hot babes we all dreamed about in 1989.
This remake, no doubt will feature Ashley being dumply down unpopular girl retrashing the geek to chic storyline once again. No doubt at the outcome of the film she will look like we tend to see her on the red carpet and have learned to “be herself” and will teach the stuck up A-crowd to be more sensitive. But with her music career budding I predict she will have at least 2 songs on the soundtrack.
