Rainn Wilson (the talented fellow that plays Dwight Schrute in the US version of The Office) looks like he will be hitting the silver screen with hookers in tow. We get the story from movieweb:
Rainn Wilson will star in the comedy Girlfriend Experience for DreamWorks, with Montecito partners Ivan Reitman and Tom Pollock to produce, according to Variety.
Wilson, who came up with the idea, will play a lonely geek who, in an effort to make himself seem more desirable, hires a prostitute to pretend she’s his girlfriend.
This is a hilarious idea. When you add losers and hookers it always equals comedy gold. There is just so many ways you can get hilarious with this idea, and Wilson will be able to pull it off. I hope there is a scene where the hooker teaches him pick-up lines, how to dance, how to eat a crotch and how to dress. I hope there is a team of hookers and not just one; for this project – the more prostitutes, the better!
I remember one episode of The Office where his character Dwight Schrute was commenting on the need for a woman with big breasts because “the Shrutes’ have thirsty babies” I almost pissed my pants. Wilson has great delivery and I am excited to see him make the move to film. This project will be a great opportunity to showcase his talent and I look forward to it.

I liked this movie better when it was called Can’t Buy Me Love.
Patrick Dempsey “rents” popular girl to date him making him popular by association. Then he becomes a jerk just as the rental girlfriend is actually falling for him and we all learn an 80s lesson.
This is just a remake.
