I wasn’t that big a fan of the first Jackass movie. It had a couple of very funny spots in it… but it was way too little. And before any of you hit me with that lame line “you just didn’t get it”… yes, yes I did “get it”. But that still didn’t make most of it funny.
Anyway, the fact of the matter is it was a very profitable project. No, it didn’t break any box office records, but it only cost $5 million to make the film and it took in over $60 million. That’s a magnificent profit margin my friends. And where there’s money… there are sequels.
The good folks over at Ananova are reporting that Paramount Studios are getting ready to launch a Jackass 2 movie project to be released in theaters sometime in 2006. What they don’t say is if Johnny Knoxville will be in it or not. I have a feeling a lot of people will dismiss it if knoxville doesn’t lead the way in it… but who know. More importantly… who cares.
I care! butI would watch it if it didn’t have Johnny in it or not, as I don’t partically watch it for him, I don’t really watch it for anyone, but yes i do agree that it would lose quite a few watchers if it doesn’t have Johnny in it.
