File this one under stupid bad idea of the month. I’ll never understand how some movie exec heard a pitch for a The Mask sequel without Jim Carry and think to himself “Yeah, this sounds like a winner!” Good grief Charlie Brown. Anyway, the trailer for Son of the Mask has made it’s way onto the official site and in theaters (I first saw it in front of the Incredibles). And you guessed it… it looks as dumb as it sounds. This thing will be luck to crack $30 million at the gate… probably less. Is anyone actually interested in seeing this thing?

ANY sequel to a Jim Carrey movie which DOESN’T have him in it should and would DEFINITELY suck. just look at Dumb and Dumberer. i wonder what would happen if they made an Ace Ventura movie without him in it…….
