Bradley Cooper is The Man From U.N.C.L.E.

Steven Soderbergh has been gearing up a film adaptation of the Man From U.N.C.L.E. for a while now and it seems that he’s just secured his lead actor for the movie in Brad Cooper.

The original 60’s show and the upcoming film (also set in the 60’s) follows the exploits of two secret agents, American Napoleon Solo and Russian Ilya Kuryakin who work for a fictitious secret international espionage and law-enforcement agency called U.N.C.L.E.
Cooper currently has an offer to play Napoleon and his agency worked hard to position him for the role so he’s likely to accept. George Clooney was previously linked to the role.

Sounds interesting and I think he’d make a fitting lead in the movie. I’m a fan of Coopers’ work and I look forward to seeing his star rise, hopefully we get more news about this in the near future.

  1. I like Bradley too! Any clue who will play the sidekick, Iilya Kryakin yet? I’d read that Ryan Gosling and James Gordon-Levitt were being looked at. I love Gosling’s work but Gordon-Levitt would probably be a better fit if Cooper is cast, if only physically!
