Soon enough, people start dying under mysterious circumstances.
Unbeknownst to Marks, the whole thing is a setup because the people behind the deaths have actually framed him as a hijacker, as they have registered the bank account in his name. So, while Marks tries to figure out who is behind the texts and deaths, the media and the authorities have painted him in a bad light, leading people to think that Marks has lost his moral compass. While he was an easy target, he manages to find the hidden bomb, identify the real people behind the threats, and convince the pilot to land the plane before the bomb explodes. It is a really thrilling movie that will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time.
Flight (2012)
We see people battling substance abuse who are quite functional in their homes and workplaces. But have you ever thought about what would happen if your pilot had such an issue? Well, this story follows a pilot named Whip who struggles with addiction. One morning after a night of partying, he is tasked with flying a plane to Atlanta. Unfortunately, the plane suffers a mechanical failure and nosedives. Whip stabilises the plane by flying it upside down and even manages to land it in an open field, saving people’s lives in the process.
Following this incident, the NTSB conducts a drug test on him only to find that he was under the influence at the time of flying. On the one hand, they want him punished; on the other, the media has painted Whip as a hero. His lawyers can throw out the blood tests on a technicality, and Whip looks like he can avoid jail time if he shifts the blame to someone else. But rather than do that, he confesses that he has been facing addiction and chooses to serve his time rather than refuse to take accountability.
Snakes on a Plane (2006)
What would you do if someone smuggled venomous snakes onto a plane and then let them out mid-flight? Agent Flynn faces this actual problem when transporting a witness to testify against a mob boss who has gone to great lengths to ensure that the witness does not make it to court. Flynn has to think fast on his feet and ends up making improvised weapons to fight off the snakes and even shooting out two windows to blow out the remaining snakes. And given that the snakes had already attacked the pilots, a video game player is tasked with landing the plane, which they do successfully.
So, even if you may not get the chance to pilot a plane, you can cheer on the main characters as they try to keep the plane in the air while fighting off unexpected dangers like snakes.
