For whatever reason there’s an intense fascination with reviving late 80’s and early 90’s franchises in Hollywood lately. We’ve discussed this movie off again and off again more than once and it seems Keanu has once again chimed in with an update about the impending return of Bill & Ted.

First, Keanu Reeves told The Independent that Bill & Ted 3 has a script:
“Yeah, we have a script. We’re trying to put it together. It’s a good script too.”
Later, Alex Winter confirmed on Twitter:
“Script done? Check. -We love it? Check. -Green light? Working on it!”
So there you have it, pending a green light
This is great news for all fans who can’t wait to see the return of this duo in theaters. Really great. For some reason I just can’t help but feel that this may not be the greatest of ideas, but then again these two characters aren’t famous for “great ideas” but for totally awesome fun. I’m trying to reserve judgment but I have a mild interest at most for seeing this in theaters. What do you guys think? Wanna see them back in theaters after all this time? Plus they’ll be older. That young 80’s charm has warn off.
Those guys are getting old but, Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey was one of the few sequels in history that actually lived up to the first one. Other than Godfather 2 and Empire Strikes Back, there really aren’t may movies that can say that.
