Some people still had reservations that Henry Caville could look the part of Superman. I dare you to take a look at those pecks and deny that he meets the physical look needed to portray our favorite Kryptonian:

You see that. That right there is Super.

This looks pretty great.
I think the film’s version of the costume is perfect in that it separates itself from previous films while being more true to the comics in some respects, ie the boots and “S” shield.
… im more happy with this look than the actual superman costume they designed for the movie…
Likewiese Roderick – it looks sick, i cant wait for the movie

HELLO PEOPLE,
I’M OLD SCHOOL WHEN IT COMES TO THE LOOK OF SUPERMAN…I DON’T THINK I’LL EVER GET USED TO THE NEW LOOK. WHY COULDN’T THEY ADD RED SHORTS TO THE SUET. THEY SHOULD HAVE SOWN IT IN. SOMEONE WOULD HAVE TO PAY ME TO SEE THE NEW MOVIE. THE 70’S AND 80’S GENERATIONS WILL NOT PAY MONEY TO SEE THE NEW MOVIE BECAUSE OF NEW LOOK OF SUPERMAN. THE FRANCHISE WILL LOSE MONEY BECAUSE OF THE CHANGES MADE.
Wow. A good movie will attract an audience regardless of changes to a costume. I too am a fan of tradition but history has shown that the changes wont make or break a movie.
According to canon, he shaves with heat vision and a mirror.
Yup, it was explained in John Byrne’s classic Man of Steel comics
Superman with a beard, how would he shave, isn’t his hair super strong?
For whatever reason this has been the movie that is cool to hate on, probably because Snyder was chosen to direct. I have a sneaking suspicion that this could end up being a really good, fun film. I suspect that before Nolan and Goyer left it in Snyders hands they had already established a good jumping off point for the story and it seems to be coming together pretty well.
Cavill and Shannon could end up having some great scenes in this, and I for one look forward to it.
