Javiar Bardem is in high demand these days with a lot of movies vying for his participation due to his incredible performance in “No Country for Old Men”. As such he’s pretty selective about his upcoming roles and today we learn he may be close to choosing a project.

The actor is in talks to voice El Macho, the lead villain in DESPICABLE ME 2.
Not much is known about the plot of the film other than Steve Carell’s Gru and his adopted daughters will face off against Macho and his bad-guy-in-waiting son El Machito.
Sounds like an interesting and safe choice for the actor. I’m on the fence about this as it looks like it could be really fun for my kids but not neccesarily my cup of tea. Should I may actually go back and watch the first movie to get a better idea of what the second one may be about?

If you haven’t seen Despicable Me I would highly recommend it. No, it’s not up to a Pixar level but it was better than my expectations when I saw it in theaters.
The plot sounds great and I can already see the characters in my head. Can’t wait.
