The Hobbit: Video Blog #2

I love… no, adore the featurettes that were produced for the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and I am having that same socially-questionable feeling with the featurettes that Peter Jackson is making for the Hobbit. I’m sure they have a lot of stuff still up their sleeves for the eventual DVD and BluRay release but they’ve been kind enough to share another behind the scenes look at the production of the Hobbit. Let’s watch the latest one together.

See what I mean?! How do you NOT love something like that? All the attention to detail, care, and passion for the work at hand is just oozing with attractive affection that I can’t help myself! Andy Serkis and PJ having a 1 on 1 about the movie is just the type of thing I’d hoped to see, and can’t help but feel spoiled by including Ian MacKellen and Christopher Lee Gandalf and Saruman.

  1. I have read this book and I find this really interesting. The author is very imaginative and while I was reading this book it made me feel that I, myself am inside the book traveling along with the main protagonists. Cool One!

  2. LOTR Trilogy was a huge success around the world. I know people would really love to know more about the Hobbits and their story. for sure this would also be a hit movie since the viewing public wholeheartedly accepted LOTR, sure they would this one as well.

  3. I am really excited for this movie to be released in the theaters. I seriously enjoyed watching the LOTR Trilogy and it would be nicer knowing the story of the little cute cute Hobbits. I haven’t read this book but looking forward for this movie in theaters.

  4. I am so happy that this film is finally underway. I enjoyed the LOTR movies very much, the culture thats created onscreen is unrivaled. When I was younger I read the books and watched the movies religiously. Now I have kind of leveled out. As much as I wish LOTR could be (somehow) my career…theres more to life. That being said this movie is going to be amazing as will part 2. I simply cannot wait.

  5. Sometimes I enjoy watching the featurettes on my LOTR trilogy dvds more than the films themselves. I love commentaries and behind the scenes documentaries on my favorite films. I love the entire process. Thanks for posting this!
