Michael Fassbender talks X-Men First Class Trailer

MTV Splashpage had the unique opportunity to sit through the X-Men: First Class trailer with Michael Fassbender and get some commentary and reaction from the Young Magneto himself.

Check it out:

I really like how Fassbender is geeking out about the role he played and still straddling that line of sharing while keeping himself in check about oversharing.

There is a sniper with a tranquillizer dart off camera ready to act should he overstep his limits. Word has it that he nearly pulled the trigger when he mentioned “two helmets”.

Still pretty interesting to see the Trailer with the star who does know the whole picture sitting in on the experience.

  1. It was weird that there wasn’t a lot of information about the movie floating around there, but now that the trailer has hit,I’m feeling a lot better about it. I think this is starting to look like a must see movie of the summer (maybe not the one movie to see, but definetly one to think about).

  2. I would have prefered they had left any reference to the other movies out of the trailer. As it’s a prequal It needs to seem like this movie influences the others not the other way around. By blasting us in the face with clips from the trilogy within the first few seconds of this new trailer….eh I don’t know. It just feels wrong!!!

One other thing….what the hell is wrong with beast’s face. I wanted a guy in make-up, not a CGI fartfest of a blue pussy cat (Yes I realise thats his new look)!! Are we getting a teen wolf style gig? He can turn during the action, but if needed can show a little fur at will or when he gets pissed!! Whats the deal? How the hell does that turn into Kelsey Grammer?

I really want to see how this turns out.

  3. I’m optimistic about this movie. I kind of wish they just made another one after Last Stand though… I feel as though that version of the films deserved to be ‘fixed,’ since Last Stand didn’t quite live up to X1 or X2 (although, I think it was better than most people give it credit for — and I think a lot of the flaws can be blamed on what happened between that film and Superman Returns).

  4. I wonder how much Erik and Charles will clash in this film? He does look pretty excited about taking on this role and did like how he based Magneto off the comics and not Ian McKellen’s performance from the previous films. So it might be a different take on it, but I kinda figured there would be two helmets, since they photos of a silver one and then at the end the red version. Wanna see more of Kevin Bacon though.
