A first look at Disney’s first Winnie the Pooh film to hit theaters (Tigger’s don’t count as Pooh films) in 35 years is online. Check it out:
I am as much a Winnie the Pooh fan as anyone can be. He is nostalgic Rockwell goodness all stuffed with fluff. But I find as light and good natured as the films are, they are tucked away for a far younger demographic.
Still, its great to see them make a new movie with the exact style and colour as the classic Pooh movies. They didn’t try to update it, make it edgier or more hip. Maybe they learned they don’t have to after that CG Pooh was released.
Pooh just is Pooh.
And July 15th, 2011 will will get another chapter.

I’m so glad that Lasseter brought back the classic 2D movies. I really want to thank him personally for that :)
