Bruce Willis Could Be The Expendables 2 Big Villain

With The Expendables soon breaking $100 million in domestic box office, a sequel is a sure bet. Stallone has already said that he will pursue those actors he thought (like fans alike) should’ve been in the first one. Fan favorites, Seagal and Van Damme, have the most requests. Stallone also has said that he will pursue other action stars to join in; and that he would consider bringing in female stars too. As far as who could be the big villain/villains, Stallone has stated what he’s got in mind.

IGN reports:

Sylvester Stallone has revealed who he wants to play the villain in The Expendables 2.

The actor-director Tweeted today, “Had dinner with Bruce Willis last night. I want him in EXPENDABLES II as a super villain. What do you think?”

I think this is an awesome idea Sly, go for it! It was awesome to see Willis stare down Sly in the first one. Fans all agree, that Willis and Schwarzenegger, if possible, should come back for the sequel, but with bigger roles – be involved in the action, big time. I don’t know if Arnold can do it, but I’m pretty sure Willis can. Imagine if we’d get Seagal and Van Damme as part of team Willis? That would be awesome.

Do you want Willis to be involved in a bigger role? Who would you want to be in team Willis? Who should be added to team Sly’s team?

  1. Stallone vs. Willis
    couture vs. steve austin
seagal vs. trejo or seagal vs. statham
    crews vs. lesner
    rourke vs. hogan or trejo
    jet li vs. rain
    lundgren vs. undertaker

    rock vs. vin diesal
    chuck norris vs. van damme
    chow yun fat vs. zhang
    scott adkins vs. rafaelli

  2. This is by far the best star cast list for the action epic to end them all from across the wide spectrum of cinema. We have good guys and then we have the bad guys. It doesn’t get any bigger than this.

    The Goof Guys
    SYLVESTER STALLONE
    JOHN CENA
    WESLEY SNIPES
    SHAWN MICHAELS
    VIN DIESEL
    WILL SMITH
    CHUCK NORRIS
    JASON STATHAM
    DANIEL CRAIG
    CHRISTIAN BALE
    COLIN FARRELL

    SAMUEL L. JACKSON
    ANTONIO BANDERAS
    STEVEN SEAGAL
    JEAN RENO
    JACKIE CHAN
    CHOW YUN FAT
    VAN DAMME
    DOLPH LUNDGREN
    THE ROCK
    HUGH JACKMAN
    BRAD PITT
    BRUCE WILLIS
    KIEFER SUTHERLAND
    MEL GIBSON
    MARK WAHLBERG
    JAMIE FOXX
    ARNIE S.

Then we have the BAD GUYS
    RUSSELL CROWE
    TRIPLE H
    BATISTA
    ICE CUBE
    ICE T
    LL COOL J
    JET LI
    STEVE AUSTIN
    DMX
    50 CENT
    MATT DAMON
    CLIVE OWEN
    BEN AFFLECK
    SEAN BEAN
    KEVIN BACON
    LEONARDO DiCAPRIO
    SEAN PENN
    JOHN TRAVOLTA
    MICHAEL MADSEN
    GABRIEL BYRNE
    KEVIN SPACEY
    ROBERT DOWNEY Jr

I even have it all planned exactly what role each character would play.

  3. The Expendables wasn’t really that interesting – well, except for the all-star cast. Other than that, nothing else was good about the movie that we had to walk out of the cinema and went home. I love every movie genre but Expendables is a huge YAWN.

    1. how can you say that, it was balls-to-the-wall action most of the way, how can you say that that scene when couture is fighting austin was boring. the film was great and it was good to see Dolph Lundgren in a film that DIDNT go straight to DVD

  4. As I was reading the comments I was surprised it took so long for someone to mention Kurt Russell. Tango and Cash reunion – awesome. Also agree that Keifer would be pretty bad ass. And definitely agree that the women should be Weaver, Hamilton, Jovavich, and Hit Girl (jk – kind of). I would add Demi Moore (think GI Jane). Plus, they could have a scene with her going toe to toe with Willis.

  5. At least Stallone is original in his ideas. I mean with Sly gathering the big action guys from yesterday and gathering them all in one movie. This might rejuvenate these actors’ careers.

  6. Team Barney:

    Stallone
    Statham
    Jet Li
    Crews
    Lundgren
    Banderas (to replace Couture)

    VS.

    Team Church

    Willis
Cyril Raffaelli (guy from Live Free Die Hard, and District B13)
    Rain
    Michael Jai White (Black Dynamite)
    Van Damme
    Danny Trejo

    So it would be

    Stallone vs. Willis
    Statham vs. Raffaelli
    Jet Li vs. Rain
    Crews vs. Jai White
    Lundgren vs. Van Damme
    Banderas vs. Trejo

I’m taking into consideration cost and the fact that there won’t likely be much screen time devoted to fleshing out the villains so you don’t need guys who will be anything more than just cool with very little dialogue.

Also, something tells me Seagal will still say no and the movie would be better for it.

Oh, and keep the story simple. Let it be about Church hiring mercs to kill the Chinese mafia and their family for unscrupulous reasons. Only problem is Li’s family has ties to the Chinese mafia, particularly his little sister. Enter Ziyi Zhang (Crouching Tiger, Rush Hour 2). For butting in, Church orders his team to also take out the Expendables.

    1. LOL. The most unintentionally racist match-ups ever. The balck guy against the black guy, the asian guy against the asian guy, the hispanic guy against the hispanic guy? Find someone who looks like you and fight!

  7. Team Church:

    Chuck Norris
    JCVD
Ray Park/Sho Kosugi as Masked Ninja
    Michael Dudikoff
    Ralf Moeller

I would also consider a team made of the classic villains:
    Clancy Brown (Highlander)
    Vernon Wells (Commando, Weird Science)
    Bolo Yeung (Bloodsport)
    Stephen Lang(Tombstone/Avatar)

    or MMA/Wrestlers

    Jesse Ventura (vs Dolph)
    Mr T (vs Terry Crews)
Villainous Hulk Hogan vs Stallone (Rocky III rematch)
    John Cena (vs the Stath)
    Cung Le (vs Jet Li)
    Chuck Liddell (vs Randy Couture)

TO the poster ahead of me…I LOVE some of your choices for villains, just not for this movie. These villains are going to have to go toe to toe with the Expendables yet still be believable. Brock Lesnar would break Stallone in half in 5 seconds.

    1. Cena?? No way in hell man. He’s not a badass in real life, and he’s not a badass in WWE too so he should definitely be out, he’s way too PG. Like I said in my post above, Orton will do a MUCH better job.

  8. I’d like to see Jet Li and Jackie Chan together again. Not sure who would win if they fought. Guessing it would end in a draw.
And for females, I agree that Lucy Lawless should be in the next one. I’d also like to see Michelle Yeoh.

  9. Ok this is really simple

    Action Stars
    More Dolph
    Van Dam
    Segal
Female has to be – Cynthia Rothrock

    WWE
    Randy Orton

    MMA
    Brock Lesnar

    Others Villians
    Matthias Hues
    Billy Drago

    1. You know I really agree with ya on Randy Orton being in expendables 2…he is gaining a lot of popularity these days with his bad-ass stone cold steve austin type character and everyone knows just how well he can play the psycho(especially) or cocky bad guy, he would honestly make a great sidekick to Willis’s super-villain role….personally, I think he should be offered a role in which he half-half-heartedly obeys Willis’s commands and takes down all the people in his way but in the end, breaks out of Willis’s commands and joins the expendables to appear in the third movie…while being a bad-ass at the same time, which shouldn’t be hard for a guy like Orton.

John cena should never be in ANY action movie. His looks and character are way too soft for any action movie.

  10. The Expendables was a fucking horrible film. All actors seemed bored, especially Jet Li. The action scenes were messy and poorly edited, the script was written by a five year old and …well, it was brutal.

I liked the idea of The Expendables but I really thought Sly would have done much better than this. The film had potential.

    1. Why did you think that? I’m just curious, because I went into the film expecting a subpar plot and just balls out action. I ended up with balls out action and a plot that I actually enjoyed. Is it the most inspiring movie of all time? Of course not, but I actually rank it up there with my favorite action movies I’ve ever seen in terms of enjoyability.

  11. Snipes has to be there and against statham would be sweet… Chan should definitely be there against li or even bring in tony jaa that guy is sick! Van Damme should be on the good guys team and the rock should maybe even go to the bad guys. Norris vs. Sutherland, would finally show who does kick more ass!

For women, for sure bring back some relics! I doubt Linda could do it, but if we can get Ms. Hamilton to come back and kick ass do so! other than that, jolie is possible, though her comical side may not work (though she could work with willis; those two have that same smirk all the time). That kung fu women from most recently the mummy 3rd film is a legend, she should be brought in as well. The 2nd film could just be some much fun.

p.s. since wrestlers and mma fighters are being included, bring in Brock freakin’ Lestner as a small part as one of the bad guys… think of that guy busting through a wall and trying to take down sly!

  12. Kurt Russell,
    He would fit in great.

    Jakie Chan,
You just have to, it would be awsome to see him and jet go at it.

    Chuck Norris,
If your going 80s and 90S action stars he is there, he fought bruce lee, you have to give him a go.

    Mel Gibson,
Though his career is kinda in the shitter, to see leathal weopen Gibbs would be cool.

    Wesley Snipes,
    The man can fight!

    Vin diesel,
could pass as arnie’s kid if he sleept with an older Michell Rodriguez

    Harrison Ford,
solo, Indi, he can hold his own in action.

    As for the women,
Linda Hamilton, Sigourney Weaver and Mila Jovovich would fit in nice.

  13. They would never get Seaga, since Seagal does not want to work with co-producer Avi Lener. Since Van Damme turned down the first film because he thought the role wasn’t big enough, it’s possible Sly can convince him this time. I would like to see Wesley Snipes but his pending sentence might be a problem. (“might” being if it is a reduced sentence, or, some magic act is done and a short scene is written inside a prison)

Chuck Norris should be on any wish list.
Jeff Speakman could also be considered.
    Danny Trejo this time!!
    Chow Yun Fat
Samuel L Jackson has a cameo.

    Women?
    Cynthia Rothrock
    Gina Carano

    and Pam Grier

  14. I want something plain and simple for Expendables II :

Arnold Schwarzenegger versus Sylvester Stallone in a balls-out mano y mano fist fight. This is what the fans REALLY WANT for a long time now.

  15. I vote that we reanimate John Wayne and put him in there. I know we have the technology. How else would Larry King still be around?

Seriously though, I think that Bruce Willis’ “Church” character should put together a team that is almost the exact opposite of The Expendables. Bruce fights Sly. Van Damme and Statham. Seagal and Couture. Jackie Chan (or that Rain kid from Ninja Assassin) vs Jet. LL Cool J and Crews. Just a suggestion.

  16. I’ll never stop with my insistence that Kiefer Sutherland should be in it. I wanna see Jack Bauer running around with Stallone and Statham. I’d also love to see Gerard Butler. 300 showed he can play a badass and Law Abiding Citizen showed he can play a damn good villain.

  17. I hope by female stars he didn’t mean actresses like Jessica Alba or Megan Fox. I personally would love to see Sigourney Weaver, Linda Hamilton, and Lucy Lawless, but not Angelina, not because I cant picture her kicking some man’s ass but because I think she would be out of place in this type of movie.

      1. AK..you do understand that that the theme of The Expendables is to bring together action stars of the past…right?

Who better to carry the flag for the Ladies then those who took on Aliens, Terminators and Gods.
