Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Teaser Trailer Leaked

Its really rough, and kind of vague but the Teaser Trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has been leaked online.

I saw nothing outstanding in the teaser, but it is a very bleak dark tone to it, which the first half of the book was.

In this final chapter, Voldemort has control over the Ministry of Magic as well as Hogwarts in the same manner that Palpatine controlled the senate. And Harry, always the rolemodel, drops out of school to hunt down the the artifacts known as the Deathly Hallows as well as finding the Horcruxes (magical containers that hold portions of Voldemort’s soul)

  1. I’m super excited for the next two (last two films) and while I had my problems with HBP I liked it as a whole. The fact is it’s terribly difficult to adapt the Potter books because there are so many subplots going on, so you need to pick and chose. My two real problems with the last movie was not enough of Voldermort’s past because that is key to Harry’s teaching in order to destory him and like said above Dumbledore telling Harry what horcruxes they’re looking for.

I think the love triangle angle was well played, but could have been scaled back a little bit. I didn’t find Dumbledore’s murder nearly as moving as in the book, so that was a sad failure, still the kiddo who was unaware he died had quite the crushing surprise. The raising of the wands at his funeral was not unlike a candle visual and a nice touch.

There is a lot of standing around and talking in the HP books, so these things must be condensed and sometimes cut out to save time and boredum.

I’ve always had to watch the HP movies as if I never read the book because to point out every change drives you mad and makes the enjoyment of the movies less.

  2. I want this movie now!
i havent read the book yet so i dont really what it is about but ill star this week
and totally agree with some people here like harry potter and the half blood prince was stupid i mean the most importants parts they cut them off:( i was so dissapointed but i guess movie 7 will be awesomee and i hope so..!
the book(6) was amazing i finished it quickly cuz its just amazing really i liked it soo much!! and i think they could have done it better but its ok i bought it on DVD BUAHAHAHA i love HARRY POTTER:D

  3. I hated all but the last movie for various reasons. I agree that they left out the most important plot points in most of the movies to emphasize the less important relationships in the movies.

I liked the Half Blood Prince, but there is still an issue that won’t make sense until I see DH. In the book HBP, Dumbledore shows harry a series of memories having to do with Voldemort. After each memory they discuss what is important about that memory, and when the truth about the horcruxes is revealed, Dumbledore tells Harry EXACTLY what he is looking for. Slytherin’s locket, Hufflepuff’s cup, something from Ravenclaw or Gryffindor, and the snake. Harry destroyed the diary, and Dumbledore destroyed the ring.

He only found some of them (Hufflepuff’s cup and Ravenclaw’s diadem) because he knew exactly what he was looking for. They were both hidden among a lot of other junk.

In the movie, Dumbledore says it could be anything, just looking like junk lying around. I just can’t see how he is going to find these items when he doesn’t know what he is looking for.

    1. THAT is the MOST IMPORTANT PART of The Half Blood Prince.

You hit the nail in the coffin

Dumbledore telling him what he has to look for and explaining him why he has to find it. That was the whole point of Dumbledore being ALIVE.
That was pretty much the only reason why the 6th book was written, so that Dumbledore could teach Harry everything he had to know before he died.

    1. Classics? This must be a joke. Casablanca was a classic. Citizen Kane was a classic. Heck, even Aliens was definitely a classic. But HP2 was average, and the first HP was a badly structured grindfest.

  4. Ok, i personally liked the movies. They were entertaining and well done. They may not be exactly like the books, but us HP fans already know what happens! Its not like the movies left us completely lost. We know all the essentials, so i just go into the theaters with no expectations, and i enjoyed the movie. And The deathly hallows is gonna be two parts!! And im sure theyre each gonna be about 3 hour movies! Im sure they got a most of the good stuff into the movies. Im excited, and yet, if its not very good we still have the books, and our imaginations. If you go into the theater looking for flaws, then you will find them much easier, so just enjoy it! Laugh at what they left out! This franchise will be around a for a long time. I honestly think that the series is going to be re made, over and over. /endrant. haha

  5. The movies have gotten better and better over the years and the last one was a very good movie, IMO. Wasn’t as action oriented as the others but that’s fine by me. I have full confidence that this last film will be very good. So far they haven’t let me down.

  6. whoa whoa whoa! How can you be upset that the movies are different from the books!? If they were to be exactly like the books, we would be stuck in a theater for an 8 hour movie! The only reason why the movies are different from the books is because they have to be. If they stayed true to the book, but cut out a lot of the information for the movie, the plot of the movie wouldn’t make sense. They have to change the plot a little bit in order for the movie to make sense! Personally, I could care less if the movies were different from the books. I only watch the movies because its awesome to see the books come to life on the big screen!

    1. Broh.

They can change the book, take out every single irrelevant factor in it and only include the important things in the movie.

If they did that, i would have been pleased.

I dont want a movie that follows the book verbatim, i want a movie that shows the story of the book in a 2 maybe 3 hour movie and leave out the unimportant parts. A good summary.

I thought that was kind of… logical, im shocked i have to explain this.

AGAIN: The reason WHY me and 40,000,000 other HP fans are pissed off is because instead of excluding the unimportant stuff and include all the parts that were essential to the story, they decided to completely leave out the main parts and linger for HOURS on the irrelevant stuff.

I dont WANT the movie to be exactly like the book, i want it to be different.
But different as in “Take out the bad stuff, and include the main parts, such as…VOLDEMORT!”

Its as if they made a Spiderman movie based on the comic book, that showed only:
      – 3 hours of MJ and Peter arguing
      – 2 flashbacks of when the Green Goblin was a kid
      – 30 minute scene with Harry kissing Gwen Stacy.
      Fin.

That wouldnt be a very good spiderman movie.

And then, all the spiderman geeks would complain, and people would say:
“WELL! The movie cant be like the comic book! it had to be changed!”

      1. First of all, what you’re describing is completely unlike any HP film I’ve seen. And, like most have, I’ve seen all of them.

Second of all, you’re in the minority when it comes to HP fans.

HP6 was the first to have any soul in it, and yet many fans hate it over tiny, minuscule details. I find it appalling. “ALL THEY DID WAS PUT THEIR WANDS UP IN THE AIR!” Whatever that’s supposed to mean. Actually, I do know what it’s supposed to mean: that Dumbledore’s death wasn’t precisely like in the book. Whatever, because HP6’s story totally works, and yet nobody seems to care about that. Just stupid little details. Long, exhaustive lists of secondary stuff that was in the book but that they wisely decided not to put in the movie. I’m just so sick of it.

Doesn’t the fact that HP6(the film) is J.K. Rowling’s undeniable favorite even do just a little to quiet the minority? And yes, it’s the minority. Half-Blood Prince gets fantastic ratings and has been repeatedly cited as the first in the series to be truly emotionally satisfying. People may measure past HP films as superior to HP6, but they’re using separate yardsticks, and it’s totally unfair.

      2. Okay ill explain it this way, heres the Harry Potter and the HBP(#6) summary in my own words:

“Both muggle governments and the ministry of magic are aware and scared of voldemorts return, the order of the phoenix suffered loses and dumbledore is gone from hogwarts. At the same time, Harry is having an easier go at school thanks to the Half-Blood Prince, while discovering new things about young voldemort and the dark lords only weakness… eventually leading to the beginning of the war, the rise of the death eaters, Snapes apparent true side and dumbledores death”

THOSE (above) where the key points to the story, short sweet and perfect to make a movie about. YET! They decided to revolve the story on the love triangle between Hermione, Ron and Lavender.

-Voldemort was shown 2ce in the movie.
-There where only 3 death eaters (what the fuck???)
        – They dont emphasize at all wtf the Half Blood Prince is
        – The Death Eaters amazing and genius plot to ironically take over the GUARDS of azkaban to have THEM help to beat the Ministry of Magic was not mentioned once (dementors)
        – They havent even MENTIONED who Godric Griffindor is or hinted about Ginderwald.
        – The most touching and amazing chapters of the Harry Potter books where “The White Tomb” and “The Phoenix’s Lament” and they were replaced by the bullshit wand raising scene (wtf was that about?)

      3. This is an argument for how you, personally, think it would have been cooler. Not why you think it’s bad. For the most part, I honestly still don’t know.

Voldemort didn’t have much screen time BECAUSE HE DIDN’T ACTUALLY DO ANYTHING. The antagonistic elements were mostly driven by Malfoy and Snape, both in the book and in the film.

And might I add that what screen time Voldemort DID get was absolutely awesome. Riddle was more-or-less perfectly cast. He stole the show.

More deatheaters? Fair enough, although I’m not entirely sure how they would fit more characters and events into the plot. And before you say it, remember that HP is about wizard school life, so the love triangle stuff was actually perfectly appropriate.

As for Half-Blood Prince emphasis, that was a pretty stupid subplot to begin with, and I’m surprised that they were able to implement it as well as they did. All it accomplished was empathy for Snape, which I’m positively sure they are holding it off until the right time. Which makes sense. I would definitely do that.

“The Death Eaters amazing and genius plot to ironically take over the GUARDS of azkaban to have THEM help to beat the Ministry of Magic was not mentioned once (dementors)”

That points totally void as they are definitely going to do that in the next installment, as it will be more action-oriented. Again, it makes sense and it’s a good move.

“- They havent even MENTIONED who Godric Griffindor is or hinted about Ginderwald.”

Again void, because they’ll want to save that revelation (however Harry gets it) for the first act of the next film as it will better drive the plot of the next two installments.

“- The most touching and amazing chapters of the Harry Potter books where “The White Tomb” and “The Phoenix’s Lament” and they were replaced by the bullshit wand raising scene (wtf was that about?)”

Again void, because you don’t know if they’ll put it in the next film. I would. It would serve as a better inciting incident to Harry’s journey, and provide coherence between HP6 and HP7.

As for the wand-raising…you’re kidding that you honestly don’t know what that was about, right? Do sentimental acts (like the closing of a departed person’s eyelids) mean anything to you? The director just preferred that take to the one where everyone was bawling on the floor, I bet.

      4. About your last point about wand raising:

I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO SEE THEM BAWL ON THE FLOOR! After Dumbledore died, they seemed to not give a shit, they where just chilling on his office like nothing happened.

I dont want it to be “cooler”… its Harry Potter, not Transformers. I understand some movies are better darker, some are better with romance, some with action and some arent.
With no ego I can say im a pro at picking out what films should have regarding genres

And what harry potter should have had was mystery, 1 or 2 tragic sad scenes, a bit of humor (not as much as the recent movies should have had, only 2 funny lines) and 2 and a half fight scenes.
And of course, include the few torture scenes and make it a bit darker…

They didnt do this, there was NO MYSTERY about who the Half Blood Prince was, i did NOT feel bad about Dumbledore dying, and they had absolutely no worthy fight scenes.

In the book this is what i felt:

Surprised at how dark theyve been getting from the last book
I noticed the humor was toned down
I also noticed its getting more serious with all the really strong murders.
I saw it got WAY sadder.
I noticed that some parts where creepy, and would even be SCARY if made into a movie (like, horror movie scary)
And the action at the end was freaking great.

Again, i didnt feel this for the movie.
(i know that “the movie has to stand on its own” like Mr Campea says, but if the book was so great… then you need no script and have no excuse for your movie to suck)

        And quick note:

I like romance WAY more then action or mystery.
And i dont watch scary movies at all (i get scared, sorry.. i dont like being scared. hate scary movies)
ive said this many times before, romance is my favorite genre BY A MILE

But in Harry Potters case I think it should have been a little scary, more action, more mystery and less romance. (only 2 scenes about harry and ginny and ron and hermione, thats it) Lavender is the most useless character ever

      5. I don’t know about you, but when I suddenly discover that someone I know has died, my initial reaction is shock. Not bawling on the floor.

First you say that you don’t need it to be cool like Transformers, then you say that there needed to be more, better fight scenes. Do you really know what you want? Actually, I only ask because that has been my experience when discussing this with other HP6-haters. They say one thing and then turn around and say the exact opposite, in a heck of a lot more ways than you have, of course.

All this stuff about genre elements isn’t structural criticism; it’s a wishlist. Genre is just a natural byproduct of plot. So stating that “it needed more mystery” without explaining what that actually means in terms of plot doesn’t really say anything.

Also, I was wowed by the action. I thought they got it perfect for what kind of a story Harry Potter is. You’re right that it’s definitely not Transformers.

That said, “only 2 scenes about harry and ginny and ron and hermione, thats it” is not enough to develop any kind of character subplot. You might as well leave the characters out of the story. Oh, wait; those are the main characters. Whoops. Maybe not such a great idea?

And Lavender’s character is actually literally not useless, because without her there can be no love triangle, which is essential to the plot.

It’s true that Lavender is only in the background before her relationship with Ron, and after it you don’t really see her again, but that’s a problem inherent in the book and I see no immediate solution without going back and setting up for it earlier in the story, which at this point is impossible.

I’m still not seeing an argument for why HP6 itself is bad. Just for how you would have preferred it to be.

      6. Jake youre not getting any of the points im making, whatsoever. Here:

In the movie NO ONE was either shocked or depressed at the fact he was gone, all they did was rudely infiltrate his office in honor of his memory.

Its not a wishlist, as someone that read the book 78 times I can honestly say there was more suspense, murder and mystery in the book then romance and comedy. Unlike the movie.

I said it needed more mystery, because I hoped you knew what i meant, i really dont want to explain why the HP6 book had mystery, trust me, it did.

You liked the action? No shit! Thats awesome! But although i still think thats amazing, i still have to point out that having 2% of the books action (whether it was cool or not) is still a 2%… thus a fail.

Again you read my point and had no idea what I was saying.
I said two ROMANCE scenes with them, not two OVERALL scenes with them, EXAMPLE:

In X3 they turned a 30 minute scene that explained why Pyro hated Iceman into a 2 secound scene of Pyro looking at Icemans family portrait wth jeaouls rage in his face. They didnt rape the audience with ‘Pyro hates Iceman” knowledge.
HP6 did, they kept bringing up the stupd teen romance back AGAIN AND AGAIN.

If Lavender would have been decapitated 2 minutes into the movie, the book would have ended the exact same way it did.

Yes, it needed more fight scenes. No, it didnt need to be like Transformers. I dont see how i can make that any simpler.

Im not saying why it should have been for my own entertainment. Or else i would say ‘Make it a porno!”
Im trying to explain that since the book was a masterpiece, and the movie was a piece of shit… maybe they should have taken my approach.

      7. Is this a joke? Harry was freaking pissed! And everyone else looked very shocked. It’s not Casablanca but the actors knew what they were doing.

So what if you’ve read the book 78 times? If anything, what you should do is watch the movie 78 times, because what we’re talking about is structure, and how HP6 can be good as an adaptation in it’s own right.

And you keep bringing up action, romance, and mystery; and yet you want as little romance as possible, when that was the biggest part of the book in the first place!

Besides, there were barely any instances of action in the HP6 book to begin with, and I still don’t see what elements of mystery the film could have implemented that you keep talking about. You can’t just say, “There should have been more mystery!” It’s still a wishlist.

Only TWO romantic scenes? Are you kidding me? That would mean romantic subplots only two acts long, and one act per scene. That would suck, big time. And romance is one of the biggest parts of the book in the first place.

I highly doubt that decapitating Lavender is a good idea.

Why did the plot need more fight scenes? Why? WHY? You’re not answering the question!

Look, I’ll say this for about the third time now: I’d like to talk about what could have made the movie better sometime, but that’s not what we’re currently discussing. I asked you why it was bad, but you’re not trying to explain to me why it was bad at all. The statements that something is bad and that something could have been better are very separate.

UP could have been better. A lot better. Is it a bad movie? No. Just because something could have been better doesn’t mean it’s bad, so your argument is failing miserably.

I don’t see any arguments for it being better your way, anyway. So far, you’ve got: shallow two-act romantic subplots, “there should have been more action” (though you’ve yet to explain why), and “there should have been more mystery”; and you still haven’t explained to me in any way what that means.

      8. Romance was the most important part? These where the most important parts:

        ::Snape points wand at Dumvledore::
        “AVADA KEDAVRA”
        and:
“Harry, these are the objects you must collect and destroy, now you know what to do in book 7 once im dead” (something they didnt include n the movie at all)
Not to mention the 70 death eaters fighting every student at Hogwarts?

Since you dont understand what mystery im talking about after 3 tries, Ill bring out the finger puppets:
Harry **waves left finger puppet** finds a book that belongs to the Half Blood Prince **waves right finger puppet** the mystery is him finding out who this character is, and while he does it… the mystery opens up as he realizes the book is filled with dark magic… so whoever the owner is must be either a death eater (or as Ron points out) maybe Voldemort
Another thing is them trying to figure out Voldemorts weakness, theyre trying to puzzle it out and THAT is also a mystery, everytime they get closer to a clue they realize how impossile it is to kill this guy

“Why did the plot need more fight scenes?”
Because the fight scene leads into Charlie becoming a werewolf, Dumbledore dieing, the reader ralizing Draco has a good side, and that Snape is apparently bad
How was there no fight scene? There where DEATH EATERS IN THE SCHOOL! Where was the staff??? here was Dumbledores Army??? Where was Harry??? Everyone in school was NOT asleep, they where there, i have no idea how Death Eaters infiltrating Hogwarts would NOT end up into a fight scene.
Im not an action junkie, im just pointing out that this move needed (needed) 3 more fight scenes to make sense.

It was bad because it didnt make sence!!! If you never read the books and you watch the movies, you would say ‘Wow, this FULL of HUGE plot holes!!”
And, I am talking about HUMONGOUS plot holes! Like, i dont get how a movie director would ever let that shit slip. The book covers everything so well… but the movie does nothing to explain anything. How can a PROFESSIONAL director not take care of this?

But this is MY completely irrelevant opinion, did you enjoy them? What did you think? Do you think they should be improved? And how?
And, Jake… youre the majority here… most people LOVED the movies and agree with you… but Harry Potter fans are mostly dissapointed at how superior the books are

What? UP is like- the perfect movie (in my honest opinion)

      9. Hey, Hazzy. You said:

“And, Jake… you’re the majority here… most people LOVED the movies and agree with you… but Harry Potter fans are mostly disappointed at how superior the books are.”

While I do understand what you are getting at, and while I respect your opinion, I disagree heavily, for a couple of reasons.

For one thing, I’ve met many Harry Potter fans who love the films and books. I’m one of them, and so are my family and friends. So you can’t say all Harry Potter fans hate this movie.

Plus, you are using your opinion of the film in the wrong context, and what I mean is you are judging the film just based off its connection to the book. You haven’t mentioned anything about the film itself that has no relation whatsoever to the book. All you’ve said is “It will confuse non-readers,” which is still bringing the book back into the picture.

I could go on for days about fucking pissed I was when I saw Eragon, because the whole film cut moments of the book out that I loved. But when I saw the film again, I really enjoyed it as a film.

Film should stand on its own, no matter how incredible, amazing, or ingenious as the original source material is, and basing you’re opinion on how faithful the film is to the book doesn’t do any justice to your opinion on the film itself.

I’m not saying your opinion is wrong, I’m not saying you have to change it. But keep that in mind when the next film comes around.

      10. DragonSlayer

When i meant when i said that non readers will be confused is:

The books made sense. The movie does not. So people who only saw the movie will say “Wtf? How come voldemort cant just go up to Harry’s summer home and set it on fire?” or “Wtf? How come you can just enter Hogwarts, spposedly the most protected plac on earth besides Azkaban, KILL the Headmaster, walk out and have no fghting between the wizards??”
This was not answered in the movie, and those are only two of the basic questions vieweres might ask.

The movie has to stand on its own, yes, i agree.

Which is why i said, that it doesnt matter if you read the book… according to what happened ON THE MOVIE ALONE, none of it made sense. NONE of it.

So I suggest they spend more time explaining the main plot of the movie instead of showing why Hermione likes Ron.

If the book is awesome, and the movie sucks. There is NO EXCUSE.

“The movie should stand on its own” is EXACTLY why they should explain everything in the movie. Without having people going to the book looking for answers.

But this movie does NOT stand on its own. Thus, they should have explained it a little more like the book did.

NO EXCUSE! They needed no script! They already had the story WRITTEN ON A BOOK and they knew every person in the world APPROVED of this story, its almost impossible to fuck that up, and they did.

  7. Well I’m totally excited! I’m with the Harry potter generation -the first book came out like the day I could read- so me and my best mate have been fans for like forever.
So what if they don’t film every tiny bit of the books? You can still read the whole story in the books right? Sure I was disappointed when they left out the Battle at the Astronomy Tower in the sixth movie, but hey, they must’ve had their reasons. Besides, this will give people a chance to read the book as well!

    I want to see it!!

  8. NOOOO!!!!!

WHY! am i excited for this!?!?!?

I feel so fucking excited and i KNOW its going to suck. SHIT!

The last movie was such a piece of shit. And the book was soooo good. How can they make such an action packed, sad (like, really sad), exciting, romantic and amazing book into such a bleak mellow piece of bullshit movie?

So, since the last book was completely amazing, i know for a FACT (I bet my life on this) that

    1) the best fight scenes will be taken out
    2) voldemort will only appear 2ce in Part One (or less)
    3) They will NOT show the giants, the spiders, 90% (not exagerating, im calling 90%) of the Death Eaters and there WILL BE NO DEMENTORS.

    4) We will never ever ever again see quidditch. There is no quidditch in the 7th book, so the little bit of quiditch they showed in the 6th movie was the last.

Farewell “Pod-Race” version of Harry Potter! No more Quidditch.

Oh and btw, FUCK YOU DAVID YATES!!!!! i hope you DIE.

    1. How do you know this will suck? For one thing, they broke the film into two parts because “there are just some things that they couldn’t cut out.” Plus, you haven’t seen the film, you don’t know what they’re doing, you don’t know what will be cut or what will stay in. Plus, even if they do cut something out, so what? It’s they’re decision and it doesn’t change whether it’s bad as a film.

Remember, people thought Lord of the Rings couldn’t be pulled off, and look how that ended up.

    2. Rodney

Dude I think its awesome you think theres a chance itll be good, and deep inside.. i hope youre right.

But read the books, and then watch the movies (if you already havent)

Now, think about this: How come while they were filming, Daniel Radcliffe or JK Rowling didnt step in and say

“WOAH! Cut! CUT! WTF! What about all the other scenes! What about all the KEY elements about the movie?!! Youre missing HUGE important plot points! i mean HUGE! Youre missing like 90% of the story’s MAIN PLOT! You cant be serious… Are you senile??!”

So, since that OBVIOUSLY didnt happen, it means that everyone (the cast and crew, including JK) think that what they did with the movies is 100% fine… and they did it 4 times: I have not a doubt in my mind they will do it one more time with the 7th movie

The only way I will be optimistic about this movie is if the new director releases a video that states an APOLOGY from WBs and every director from Prisoner of Azkaban to Half Blood Prince, and swears to actually read the book, realizing how important Deathly Hollows is to the series.. and adapt the movie so it contains the key plot points and leaves out the irrelevant shit

      Dragon:
      Sorry, i wasnt clear
I dont actually want him dead, i just want him to die a little in the inside…. just as much as I died when I saw Half-Blood Prince.

      1. Sorry man. I agree that they have made more and more changes. But I don’t think they did so bad adapting the books.

Remember the word adaptation MEANS change. No movie is faithful to the books that much. Not even Lord of the Rings was 100% faithful. The scenes that were in the movies were from the book, but they left out a lot too.

Potter films have left out a lot of subplot. It hasnt hurt anything as far as the films go.

Ive read the books, and I have all the movies. Half Blood Prince is my favourite book of the series, but my least favourite of the movies. Still I liked it.

      2. It’s alright, Haz. If you didn’t like the movie, it’s fine, I’m not saying you have to. But what I AM saying is that you should see the film before you make that decision for yourself.

It’s just like the article Obsessed with Film did on the Wolfman being pushed back. They basically said that this film would suck and that Universal had no control of it and my favorite: “Del Toro’s dream of playing the Wolfman is ruined.” Ridiculous.

Hell, I was saying for months that Twilight was gonna suck, and while it was not a good movie, it was not as bad as I thought. We’ve all been there. But still, we don’t know until we see the film. That’s all I’m saying.

      3. I just would have been more pleased if they touched more on Voldemorts origins, the Order of the Phoenix and what the Death Eaters are up to.

The teen romance is important, but kinda irrelevant to the story. I mean they could have mentioned it, but not repeat it 100 times.

LOL ironically enough, I love more teenage romance in Twilight and less action, but in HP i hate the romance and demand more action =p

      4. Dragon
Yeah I know, I try to never judge movies at first, I dont even judge movies by their trailers (This trailer is amazing, and i think the movie will tank)

But Im not saying itll suck because i woke up on the wrong side of my bed today,
I am simply stepping back and looking at the pattern the last 4 HP movies have made and concluded a hypothesis that states:
“Woah, the next movie is gonna suck pretty hard…”
Its just my own personal logical prediction

Now- i would love it if they make it right. Lets pray im wrong

      5. And you won’t know if you’re wrong or right until it comes.

I think it will be more faithful to the book because the reason they cut the book into two films is because there were things they knew they couldn’t cut out.

I faced a similar problem you had with the sixth movie, even though I loved the film and getting it on DVD. I think that when they cut certain things out, it 1.) confused people who haven’t read the books and 2.) didn’t give quite an emotional statement the book gave.

For example, like you mentioned in another comment about the wand thing with Dumbledore’s death. While I did feel some sadness during the scenes, it wasn’t like when Cedric Diggory died in the fourth Harry Potter movie (which is my personal favorite of both the books and the movies), which emotional drained you and made you feel like you want to wanted to kill yourself afterward, even though now I’d do anything to see Rob Patterson get killed in a movie.

One of the things I was annoyed that they cut out was Harry breaking up with Ginny. You needed that at that moment, but you didn’t get it.

While I agree that it was the weakest of the films, I still loved it, and I’ve defended it. And I’m just looking forward to the next film, it looks insane!

Plus, don’t we get Bill Nighy as the Prime Minister (the new one, I can’t pronounce his name)?
