  1. I own every Wes Anderson film, and I can tell by the trailer of The Fantastic Mr. Fox that I will own it too… Loves me some Wes Anderson. He’s the bomb diggity at “makin’ movies.”

  2. Looking forward to reviews, but when I saw the preview with “Cloudy…Meatballs” it didn’t do it for me. A lot of times, A list actors doing voice work in animation is distracting for me.

  3. ive been interested in this since seeing thee 1st trailer…cant wait. some good lines in this trailer as well. the explanation of the pine cone game was hilarious. im one of the few that really enjoyed life aquatic and am a big fan of andersons quirky style of film making.

  4. I am sorry but who is the audience for this film? Animation implies children but the dialog is so beyond what a child will comprehend. Also with kids today (I am a father of 2) my kids or my nephews and nieces won’t watch older cartoons in this world of bright CGI. The animation style is rough and marionette looking and I don’t know if kids will go to it and how many adults will see this low key trailer and justify going to the movies to see it. This has FAIL written all over it regardless of how witty it may seem.

    1. Why do people assume today that kids are stupid and won’t understand big words? Why does all kids movies have to be dumbed down to fart jokes? I think this looks charming.

    2. Fail?!?! Do you not know who Wes Anderson is? This isn’t made for the Transformer audience, it’s for people.. adult or child.. who love great story telling!!

    3. The reason why kids don’t know big words is because people don’t think they will understand. However, it is at that age when they should hear them because that is when they can pick up language a lot better and that includes their native tongue. When people don’t use good vocabulary because they think the kids won’t understand them they are causing a self-fulfilling prophecy.

    4. I too think that it will fail. But it has nothing to do with it looking bad. It’s because people will do exactly what Roman up there did and miss out on seeing a good film.

…And why does Animation imply children? I’ve seen tons of animation aimed at specifically Adult audiences. People need to change there mind sets … stop living in the fifties and join us in the modern age.

      1. I would love to see this movie, but as a marketing man I look at what sells, not the movie itself and after watching this trailer I used my opinions to explain why it wouldn’t sell. If you do not establish your audience you will not sell.

Look at Iron Man, not a great movie at all just ok. It gets over with Fan service and just enough cheese and special effects to bring over the kiddies.

The film is almost irrelevant, good films bring in repeat audiences but to get people in the first time you need a good campaign and this will FAIL in my opinion.

  5. wes anderson is an amazing director and I haven’t disliked anything yet so this looks awesome. Plus I read the book and I’ll tell you, not everyone will be going to see this movie
