I gotta warn you, this is the Redband Trailer. That’s code word in the movie trailer business to say “we show tits, violence and say fuck in this trailer” and aside from cussing, there is no real reason this trailer needs to be Redband, so its likely just to make it stand out.
Aside from always enjoying Michael Clarke Duncan exert his physical dominance, this movie will also include How I Met your Mother star Cobie Smulders. She is a treat every time she is on screen too, so I hope she does well with this comedy.
That being said, I think the offbeat comedy of the kitchen “Waiting” already hit this market. Pure genius comedy that was. However as someone who has spent time working restaurants in the past, I can relate to the difficult customers and the kitchen talk that takes place. There is more comedy to take advantage of in this situation than one movie can contain.
This is going to bomb. These Broken Lizard guys are slipping and it’s a real shame. Super Troopers and Beerfest were classics! If you want to see a new hilarious film check out Midgets Vs. Mascots. Non stop funny the entire way through.
