  1. It’s the first time I hear or see about Terminator Salvation.

Excuse but Christian Bale as John Connor. He isn’t even close to the John Connor’s before. And what is wrong with his voice? It seems like the whole story has changed and it is not much left from other Terminator Movies.

  2. When I saw the 1st two (I was not a fan of T3) the impression that I got was the resistance was a rag tag, poorly equipped group of nuke-war survivors.
The trailer showed A-10’s and a UH-1 delivering ground troops to what looked like a pitched battle.
This strongly suggests that at least some of the pre-JDAY support and maintenance infrastructure survived, and that the resistance is up for a big fight.
In fact, in the superb TV show ‘Sarah Connor Chronicles’ BAG’s GF Jesse says that they commandeered a US NAVY nuclear sub (the Jimmy Carter) and use if for re-supply.
So there might be a large, epic battle scene in store for movie goers this summer.

  3. hey think hero.com your actually completely wrong…if u like the series pick up the comic books by darkhorse……the tv series completelty sold out for pop media cry babies….show sucks and it deviates from a well played out universe……btw not as many night shots cause its still early in the story line and most of the humans are just starting to learn how to live n escape……wait till it comes out to see what it has to offer.

  4. It looks like that scene between Conner and the T-800(?), is when the resistance captures or fixes and reprograms the Terminator to help them and it has just “woken up” and John Conner is giving him his first orders. It looks awesome on the whole for me. Definately a different feel and alittle Road Warriorish, but that is not a bad thing.

  5. The big robot at the end looks like something out of Transformers.

BTW If you are a Terminator fan, do yourself a favor and watch Sarah Connor Chronicles, it’s actually a really good show. I was skeptical of it at first, but it’s a worthy successor to T2. Also watching Summer Glau doesn’t hurt.

  6. I will in no way get excited for this movie. It’s easy to pull a page out of the Michael Bay: How to Shoot Action handbook, but I want, no expect, more from this movie that just a lot of cool action scenes.
I am a huge fan of Christian Bale, however I’m not a fan of this new, whispering raspy voice, there are parts you can’t even understand what he’s mumbling.

  7. Poeple forget that the first 2 movies took place at night in the flashbacks becuase they didn’t have the technology back then to make it look realistic. Shooting scenes in the darkness of night make up for that. They no longer have to and can really showcase the robots this time, I think its a great idea to show a lot during the day.

  8. you will NOT kill me.

    THAT was pretty cool

I’m not one to get caught up in a series or harp on how different films can be from their predecessors

    but that was pretty neat

I’ll spend my money on it

  9. Maybe the lack of night time scenes is due to the fact that people DON’T KNOW yet that they can avoid the early Terminators at night?

There seems to be a twist in the tale as well – not the Judgement Day that had been foretold and all that?

  10. Everyone keeps complaining about it not looking like the first ones. But aren’t we all so happy that the last 2 Batman movies don’t!

I think it looks cool, and for the most part I hate blockbusters.

  11. I know this takes place after Judgment day but it dosen’t feel anything at all like the first 3 films, which were the story of trying ot prevent what happens here. Still the trailer doesn’t do a great job of trying to outline any real story! Your right it really just looks like a Mad Max action film Still I hope its good!

  12. I like seeing the robot armies out in the daylight. I have my reservations about movie (I doubt the war ends tonight if they’re planning sequels) but at least we get to see giant robots and killer motorcycles.

Most of these were non-FX effects, so I imagine the epicness will go up in a few months when they release the international trailer.

  13. its not all in the day time there are some night time fighting which looked good too i am very excited for this movie and i cant wait for may for it to come out haha

  14. I miss the night time footage too. It doesn’t have that same visual style from Terminator 2, that sorta cold silver blue look. And that’s one of the things I disliked about T3. I want to see more of these robots and then i’ll make up my opinion.

  15. From the trailer, the thing that strikes me is that there are a lot of daytime scenes. In the first two Terminators, the flash forwards were always nighttime. I think there was supposed to be a reason for it too, something about being able to avoid the Terminators better. Even in Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles, the flash forwards are night time.

  16. The problem with the internet, is I can’t give Transformers a beautifully hand written thank you for making battlemechs A-movie acceptable.

But I won’t let that stop me:

    Dear Transformers,
You’ve long been close to my heart, my basement has many o’ box of your toys, comics, and your DVD’s reside warmly in my collections. You are a love, and common interest my son and I may both share. And you seeded a love for so many other things involving large robots, Battletech, Gundam, Robotech / Macross, Patlabor.
I’ve loved movies all this while too, but large robots were, well, Robot Jox, and some other one or two crappy VHS grocery store rentals long ago… And that eyesore in Wild Wild West.
So Thank YOU, TRANSFORMERS… For what I just saw at the end of that trailer, may there be many, many more.

If that last shot is something that’s only in two minutes of the movie, THEN I’ll be peeved.
