This is looking pretty good so far. I enjoy a good biopic and don’t mind the music of the one known as B.I.G., so I will certainly check this out
With a release date of January 16th 2009 we’ll be able to catch this film fairly soon.

Ok im excited to see a movie about my favorite rapper but they didnt get the right person to play the rap legend. Nothing against Jamal Woolard but I think that the rapper Guerilla Black could of played the role to perfection. He looks and sounds exactly like BIG, their gangster mentalities also contribute to why Guerilla is almost Biggie reincarnated.
Terrible casting on Pac…
@ Ezell
Dre didn’t leave pac, Pac left Dre cause he didn’t show up to the Snoop trial. And if anything Suge instigated the eastcoast/westcoast thing.
Probably not something I’d see
Tupac was an ass whole and thats why he is dead he instigated the conflict of Deathrow and some other label and thats why Dre left so Tupac was an asswhole don’t want to see a movie about that guy now BIG he was one laid back mother fucker so this should be one hell of a sad a fun movie.
if any rapper deserves a biopic simply because of how good there music is, its B.I.G.
greatest rapper that ever lived
This film looks really good. Even though I really don’t care for 95% of rap or hip/hop this film looks amazing.
ya i got to say you can just look at the stats and the fact that they completely lie about biggies past to make it sound greater then it was…i do admitte the movie looks good but to say he was the greatest rapper of all time is just stupid when im pretty sure the consesus on the streets is 2pac one that when he had his 10th posthumous album launch…fact is biggy rapped about stuff that really had no real direction..just the same ole stuff rehashed and bashed….but again movie looks good and he did make a few good songs….i probley wont download this cause i already no how it ends haha,
lol….derek luke as puffy…wow
Can’t believe they went out and made this movie… I mean I will go see it, but now I have to expect one for the late great tupac. Tupac was by far the better rapper and has the better story. This is a start, but can’t wait for the Tupac movie. Sometimes it makes me think a movie on Tupac would be impossible. Anyone can play the fat guy that makes it hustlin. You can’t play the skinny kid who came from nothing, well anyways what I am trying to say…. is that those would be huge shoes to fill. Hope the movie does well

whoops, sorry, doug. for some reason, it says this post was written by john in my google reader.
thought you didn’t care for music biopics, john? thought musicians were “some of the most uninteresting people EVER,” john? a little consistency would be nice!
