  1. I think that this movie could be interesting…

BUT (and that’s a big but) the Vampire Love Story thing sounds stupid. I’m afraid if I go to the theaters I’ll be the only boy there. I’m staying away.

oh thats too bad you didnt like it man. most people who did werent disapointed including myself

and i dont think theres a CHANCE that the movie will be as good as the book. i mean it would have to REALLY kick ass….i dont know if the movie will be good or bad (too early to say) but for it to be as good as the book…fat chance. lol i just really loved the book. opinions opinions

liek watchmen…no way will the movie will be better then the graphic novel…it will be GREAT im sure but the novel IN MY OPINION was awsome (betetr then twilight even lol)

  3. I just made a better poster for class that I gave the same release date. I’d rather see my fake movie that doesn’t even exist. Twilight Poster is boring and had very little work put into it.

  4. I gave this series a shot after hearing the hype and couldn’t choke down the first half of book one. Becky, I’m with you 100% on your first paragraph. I never root for a film to suck, and the premise is definitely bankable. I hope they work some magic with the screen play to make up for Meyer’s shortcomings as a writer. If not, this thing will bomb harder than Wile E. Coyote with TNT strapped to his back

  5. @Hazmat:

I just wanted to throw in my 2 cents. I have a graduate degree in literature, and Twilight is without a doubt the worst book I have ever read. I honestly feel upset thinking about teenagers growing up thinking that Stephenie Meyer is a good writer.

That being said, it has the potential to translate onto the screen. I suspect the movie will be superior to the novel, provided that the screenwriters manage to overcome Meyer’s plot/pacing problems.

  6. ok but i still think that the Tagline is beyond stupid. like it makes since IF you’ve read the book but ONLY if you’ve read the book. I have no idea what it means and they shouldn’t have used it for this movie. They could have used it later for another one of the movis but not for this one.
you can’t have somthing that talks about somthing not being the same or changing in the first part of a story before you’ve even realy established anything.

Like in the Harry Potter fanchise for example (sorry to make this comparison but it makes since in this example) the tagline for the 4th or 5th movie was “everything is about to change” and in that since it works because the series has had 3-4 movies to establish somthing so that it can be changed. Like the first movies the tone if very similar to each other but then you hit the 4th and 5th movies and things do change and things are different from the way they used to be in the earlier movies. So what i’m trying to say is that Twilight needs to take some time time to establish how things are before they start talking about how things are gunna be different.

Also if the only way you can understand the Tagline is to have read the book then the Tagline is pointless. The people who understand it would already know what the entier movie is gunna be about and what’s gunna be going on and will already be at this movie, they should have a tagline that everyone can understand so they can get a little hint as to what’s gunna be going on in the movie and also it should have a little bit of a deeper meaning for those who’ve read the book instead of what it is where ONLY the people who’ve read the books will understand it and the people who havn’t read the books (who are proably the people who need to see this movie in order for it suceed) will be completely lost as to it’s meaning and purpose and just think it’s dumb. Which is the way i feel right now.

I’m probably over estimatin the importance of a tagline but the stupidness of that one made me realize how much importance a taline can have.

  7. darek t

one of the other posters has all the other vampires..the bad ones not the protagonist.

and the quote will be understood if you read the book

i hope theyre not comparign this to HP just because its got the same guy that played cedric diggory. if so then wow

  8. What?!?! that is practily the exact same thing as the last one exept they are both looking at the camera and have switched sides. What’s up with the tagline “nothing will be the same” that makes no since at all, nothing will be the same as what?? that tagline makes no since on soo many levels. I don’t think i’ll ever see this movie. People seem to compare this to Harry Potter alot so if that is true then i won’t get interested in this franchise untill the 3rd movie comes out on DVD. But i personaly don’t think that is a good comparason because Harry Potter is about a bunch of wizards, while Twilight is about a vampire and a human dating (as far as i know).

alright dude im not going to argue onhow big twilight is because it is and im not going to argue abotu how people ove it because i KNOW alot of fuckign peopel love it. i dont want to get into a huge argument about this because i know how much people love twilight and how many copies stephanie meyers sold

im sorry- did you just say dragon ball and twilight have the same fan base???? okay

and btw twilight is going to have 4 movies and dragon ball is going to be a trilogy

and yes. its a vampire romance. READ the book

  10. @Hazmat:
“theres not even a trailer out yet”

Really? I could have sworn I seen it up on the Apple Quicktime last month. Kind of remided me a bit of ‘Blood and Chocolate”, only that was with werewolves (and despite the bad reviews and lousy box office, I thought the film was a lot better than the stinkpile many made it out to be) But if the Twilight trailer hasn’t been juiced up of late it’s most likely because Summit isn’t a major, and they want to take some extra TLC on this one which could have franchise potential. Yes, the books are popular. We’ll see how bad they are being adapted and/or how big the fanbase really is.

Personally, I think the fanbase is as big as Dragonball Z, give or take a few- but that’s not a bad thing for this film, as it doesn’t have a whopping budget and the expectations are average at best, with word of mouth doing most of the marketing thus far.

I’m kind of rooting for the film myself, because I like a small studio like Summit rising up to give us feature B film genre action and the like. When the majors started shutting down the B film and art house labels, some of which they acquired through the years, it simply got me to cheer for small up and comers like Summit.

And yes, Mr. Death. It is a simple, generic one sheet. I don’t really see anything wrong with that- a vampire date movie I guess that’s how they are working it…

  11. there is only one vampire film this year worth caring about. Its called “Let the right one in”

everyone if you get a chance you must see it. It’s the best film of the year by a fucking mile.

  12. wow- i hope that people hating on this movie at least READ the fucking book. i mean people in general. lots of people say twilight sucks but they havent read it and they say the movies going to suck but the movie hasnt come out yet.

i cant say the movie will be good but the story is groundbreaking. and dont tell me the book wasnt succesful because- it was. wether it was good or not thats subjective and most people that READ IT liked it.

i love romance movies/books hence my love for the movie ghost and the notebook…and i freaking love vampires (underworld, lost boys, dracula, blade 1 2 and 3, and buffy) so twilight is perfect for me…

so if you havent read the fucking book dont say it sucks!

sick and tyred of my friends saying it sucks and they havent read the godamn thing

(although to be realistic the producer has done no movies and everyone else has no experience and the casting was done horribly….but theres not even a trailer out yet! so who knows! could go either way…lots of movies had the same problems and i ended up liking them)

and to say that twilight is an abortion of a book is fuckign ignorant..saying that you didnt like it is fine but…twilight was very succesful…and all the sequels which i am yet to read
