Mamma Mia Clips Online

As much as they might be the most annoying quartet in one peice jumpsuits, Abba brought us a slew of the most catchy music on the planet. Whether you like it or not these earworms won’t leave you alone. Well after a very successful run on their stage musical inspired by the music of Abba, a film is made.

I was surprised to find Brosnan and Streep in singing roles in this. I honestly had not ever heard either of them sing. Well if you haven’t either, here is your chance!

Yahoo offers up: Mamma Mia! Trailers & Video Clips. Well 16 of them apparently.

Even if you don’t like Abba I am told the musical is all sorts of entertaining. Maybe the movie will be as well.

  1. Sorry, let me try again, I saw Mamma Mia in London West end stage, oct 2007, still sells out after 8 years, have a ticket to see it again this september.fabulous

  2. Bad,bad, bad…I would rather have my filling replace with novacaine than have to sit through this again. The Broadway show was great…loved it. Simple plot the singing was bad…bad…bad. Save your money…wait until it comes out on TBS.

  3. ABBA ATTACK !!! Fire your love guns !!! Cry SOS Rodney!
    The Winner takes it all.

Knowing me and knowing you, I think Rodney was kidding about the Spice Girls. Tell us you were kidding Rodney. Does your mother know.
Yes and Genesis , are Super troopers but Maddona and Spice girls, I’m thinking money money money, dancing queens.

I have a dream, Waterloo to you!

  4. PJ, the spice girls didn’t write their own music. And I was comparing catchy songs, not their ability to compose operas.

And Jagger and Richards were classically trained and can play multiple instruments.. I am sure given the time they could write an Opera too.

And FinalJoe, are you the one who gets to decide what parts of the world “count”? Hardly an endorsement to their popularity. “They are more famous than anyone in the parts of the world that they are more famous than anyone”

  5. Spice girls, dream on Rodney. No the two guy writers of Abba ( Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson ) were and are more talented than Rolling stones(and spice girls!) give us a break. Lets see them write an opera (yes opera, I’m not thinking of the musical here)

  6. Spice Girls better than ABBA? Are you serious?

Have you even listened to an ABBA album? Or are you just basing this on a greatest hits CD?

ABBA did not put any song on an album they regarded sub-par. Hence 99% of their output was fantastic and the 1% that wasn’t was still pretty good.

Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus are two of the best songwriters of the 20th century. Only Paul McCartney and Brian Wilson had an ear anywhere near close to them for melodies and wordplay. ABBA put together the best of The Beatles, the best of The Beach Boys and addded female vocals, creating muscial paradise.

In terms of popularity – while it’s true that ABBA weren’t immensely popular in the US, they were pretty much the biggest band in the rest of the world (the part that counts) for a decade.

  7. I hardly think that 10-15 songs ranks them as a higher musical talent than Genesis, Yes, Rolling Stones, Beatles or even Madonna and the Spice Girls.

Memorable yes. Insanely catchy. Yes. Talented. They were talented enough. Great even. But their legend lies in the infectiously catchy tunes, not skill or popularity.

  8. It would be hilarious if this beat Batman at the box office. Absolutely hilarious.

And ABBA were a fantastic band. More musical talent in their toe-nails than most of the rubbish passing itself off for music nowadays. No other band (maybe The Beatles) has as many memorable melodies as ABBA.
