A few weeks ago, I wrote here on TMB that Victor Salva’s third installment in his infamous ‘Jeepers Creepers’ series was likely going to feature characters from the previous films. It turns out that the rumor most likely will come true, for Gina Phillips is in talks to reprise her role as Trish from the original film and battle The Creeper one more time in ‘Jeepers Creepers 3.’
Bloody-Disgusting had a chance to speak to the underrated actress and this is what she had to say about the project:
“I will say that, I can’t talk about it, but I can say we are in talks”, the actress tells the site. “There is a script and there is work being done on it. Here’s the thing, I also produce films, when I have my producer hat on …that’s my job, and when I have my actor hat on, then that’s my job, I try not to intervene unless you have a director who wants your opinion. The great thing about Victor is that he is very collaborative. He not only wanted my input, he almost demanded it, It was always like what do you think what do you think. I trust him and I think he is a very talented writer. If things are to come together, and he wants my input… I have a lot to say!”
Hmm…my interest has peaked a little considering this news. Personally I thought the sequel needed her presence, and at one time, she was attached to actually appear in the first sequel. (The fact that she backed out, proved to me something was wrong.) It would be great to see how Trish has evolved since the first film and to see if she’s vengeful that The Creeper killed her brother. (Played by a then unknown Justin Long)
I also think Gina Phillips is a beautiful and talented actress who actually deserves more attention. So it would be great to see her on the big screen again.

I hope that the movie has Gina Phillips as the vengeful sister along with the big brother from the second film working together to try and find out where the creature came from and how to fight it, I think it would make for a very interesting story. At any rate, I’m looking forward to the next one.
I am so sick of everyone ragging on the Jeepers Creepers movies! I am a fan of the movies, and am totally looking forward to the third one to be released. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and all I can say, is if you did not like the first two, don’t bother with the third, then. I personally would pay to see it, and I think there are too many horror movies that kill off all the original characters and this would be great for some of the original characters to once again appear in the sequels.
no thank u….ok the 1st jeepers creepers was decent… and the second was pretty good. i believe that the 2nd movie made the 1st movie better. more history on the monster benefited the franchise. the monster itself is interesting but the horrid acting and cliches in the 1st one put me off.
i dont know, the 2nd one i enjoyed but i dont see a need for another one
