This summer one of the funniest movies that I saw was Knocked Up. This movie was being hailed as funnier than 40 Year Old Virgin. Well the 2 Disc Collector’s Edition is well on its way and its very much extended and Unrated.
With “Over 3 Hours of New Outrageous Bonus Features” this disc really makes it worth your while to drop the extra coins on it. Most “Collector’s Editions” Have a pile of extra stuff that is just not fun to watch or even entertaining. Stuffing crap on a disk that people wont watch just for the sake of offering a bigger package is not worth it.
Knocked Up’s 3 hours is CERTAINLY worth it. I just spent the last 3 hours watching it all, and I dare say it makes the movie THAT much more funny. Check out the 3 Hour Second DVD worth of features
Deleted Scenes – must have

Video Diaries – Judd Apatow himself on set
Kids on the Loose – The Apatow kids become actors
Beard-o-Rama – All the beard gags in the movie and more they didn’t use
Kuni Files – The OBGYN was a real doctor who acts on the side
Gummy: The 6th Roomate – David Krumholtz story about how he was in and out of the movie
Stripper Confidential – Apatow was convinced this movie needs strippers
Finding Ben Stone – A mockumentary about other actors they got to play the lead that didnt work out
Loudon Wainwright III Scoring Session – The Music of Knocked Up
Line-O-Rama – MORE improved lines that were not used
Gag Reels – Also a must have. This dvd has two versions that don’t hit the same gag twice.
Loudon Wainwright III Live at McCabes – Live performances
First Sex on Camera – Jonah Hill Documents this milstone in his acting career
Topless Scene – Seth performs a scene from the movie without his shirt on. No one acts like there is anything wrong.
Raw Footage – Two scenes showing the process
Katherine Heigl Audition – Added because it was beyond funny.
Granted all this doesn’t amount to anything if you didn’t like the movie. Fortunately I was already sold on the movie so to see all this just made me laugh for the better part of 3 hours.
If you are the type who doesn’t care about the extra features, get the standard edition and save yourself some coin, (I am typically that guy)
But if you are thinking if its worth it for this movie, I say YES.
There are language (and subtitle) options on the second disk as well.
Can you tell me, if the bonus materials are subtitled in English? I am hard of hearing, so the subtitles would be necessary for me.

Now this is a list of extras.
Not many companys are cheap with the extras, like it is exposing a magic trick or something. Now if you like extras, Lord of the Rings is hard to beat. I like watching behind the scenes stuff, bloopers, jokes, scoring, editing, alt versions, ect.
