Fantastic Four 2 Character Posters

Ff4-2-Characters

I can’t put my finger on it, but for some reason my anticipation for Fantastic Four 2 has been growing a little bit. Don’t get me wrong… I’m not ready to line up for it hours in advance or anything… but I have to admit I’ve discovered a little bit of growing enthusiasm for the film. Can’t tell ya why for the life of me.

I will say this though… I love the way Ioan Gruffudd is looking as Mr. fantastic. He’s got a more weathered Reed Richards look to him in the poster… I dig it. Still don’t know if this film will be any good or not… but we’ll see.

  1. Why is Johnny doing Blue Steel?

I too am really looking forward to the sequel, it seems they fixed alot of what was critized in the first film, which I kind of enjoyed in the first place.

    fingers crossed.

  2. The promotional ads in the NYC subway are a Very Dark Silver Surfer on a near-all-black background with the single word “Rise” in silver.

Seeing the other four shots, I now understand why: not much has changed from FF.

(And, John, I know you’re getting excited about it, but you still haven’t addressed the most important question: What can one deduce about a star who starts dating the director when all the best work in the [first] film was done by the Second Unit?)

  3. I love the posters.

”Alba looks like a fucking ALIEN.” But a hot alien.

”I guess they couldn’t put Galactus on the poster because he was to big?”

I hope there is a poster and all we see is a huge eyelash.

  4. The Thing sure looks about 10 billion times better though. Not perfect, but at least they tried this time.

The serious looks in the posters seems to suggest a less “kiddie” feel than the first one. We’ll see.

  5. Well, if Mr. Fantastic looks a bit plastic, I don’t have much problem. After all, while he isn’t the Plastic Man…well, you know.

In any case, with the exception of Thing, the FF look like CGI characters. The Surfer headshot is improved (but it DOES NOT beat that poster of him coming through a building with the word ‘rise’ on it)

    Someone mentioned no Galactus. Bah.

    WHERE’S DOCTOR DOOM?

  6. The posters are alright. They should have spotlighted their unique powers. I like that the Thing looks like he’s evolving more into the comicbook look, with the thicker “brow”. These character posters make the first three less fantastic.

I guess they couldn’t put Galactus on the poster because he was to big?

  7. i thought the character was called the invisible girl…but i don’t know anythign about fantastic four.

does anyone else think that mr. fantastic looks…weird? i don’t know…it i hard to put my finger on, he almost looks like a really good plastic model instead of a person.

    maybe it is just me.
