Bruce WIllis, Sean Penn join up in What Just Happened?

bruce.jpgsean.jpgSean Penn, Bruce WIllis, Stanley Tucci John Turturro and Kristen Stewart have just joined up for the new drama-dy What Just Happened which is also starring Robert De Niro. The folks over at movieweb.com gave us the details:

Sean Penn, Bruce Willis, Stanley Tucci, John Turturro and Kristen Stewart have joined Robert De Niro in What Just Happened?, the Barry Levinson-directed comedy, according to Variety…Linson, the veteran Hollywood producer, wrote a screenplay that was inspired by his memoir. In the fictional film, De Niro plays a desperate movie producer trying to preserve some dignity as his soul is slowly destroyed by the machinations of Hollywood and the breakup of his second marriage

What Hollywood can do to a person’s moral and soul is a very interesting subject, and with the multiple divorces in this city it would certainly be a curious sight to see how they unravel. This loosely based memoir has me very excited, I hope this film works it’s way into the dark comedy vein of drama-dy because life in L.A. certainly can be darkly comedic.

With a talented cast like this and the story of an insider of Hollywood, I am greatly looking forward to seeing this film in theaters.

  1. My son Michael Wincott is starring in “What just happened?” I hope he gets the recognition he deserves.A graduate of “Julliard’ he has made over forty films and extremely talentd plus fluent in Italian. However he is a perfectionist and will do only work he considers has merit.

  2. Looks like a great cast, and a potentially great story also. Wonder what direction they will take it, but I do agree with you that it should be darker and with a little more edge. Nice catch…
