  1. from space what great idea it follows the comic book because thats were it cam from in the comic books and the comic book fans are going to be happy about this and im happy about this this great idea and a great news for people who like venmon.

  2. I agree with Baron here, once people know it’s from outer space there won’t need to be any real explaination to it. Also having it from outer space makes it more mysterious. If they followed the routh of the Ulitmate series with the symboite being a suit that cures then the film would have to leave an opening for that whole side to it with explainations.

  3. I think having it come from space actually makes it less complicated. If its something earth bound you gotta have an explanation, like some guy made it in a lab made or something, and then there has to be a reason, but having something weird come from space is pretty much it’s own explanation. “Hey, what’s the deal with that symbiote why does it give you powers?” “I dunno, it came from space” “Oh, weird.”

And besides, with Doc Oc’s solar fusion thing and getting tentacles welded to his back that for some reason make him both invincible and evil, the series is hardly grounded in realism…

Also, in the animated series the symbiote came back with John Jameson from space, so it makes sense that they’d do that.
