Two of my favorite obsessions. In this short video that Andrew was hyper kind enough to send me, we catch a glimpse of the Empire going head to head with a Colonial fleet of Battlestars. Clearly not professional, but enough to make me geek out a little.

I remember seeing something like this years ago on some site call spaceshipbattles.com (or something like that). The one I saw also had Star Trek and B5 ships mixed in the battle. On the on I saw, it was kind of cool seeing a couple vipers taking down an AT-AT.

Cleary not professional? Ok maybe not but it was pretty sweet for low budget work!! The explosions are pretty tight and the shaky camera shot is a nice way to add to the experience.

There was also a little bit of ‘Star Wars” music in there as well.
Not bad for what it is. Should have went an extra mile with an insert of a TIE fighter pilot or maybe a (old Galactica) colonial with the Pharoah like helmets.
I liked the music from ‘The Rock’. Nice job.
Yeah, that made me geek out, too. The space backgrounds looked like they were from Babylon 5.
Speaking of B5, where’s the story about the B5 direct to DVD project that started filming yesterday?
WOW!!! Props to those who made that! Now if only the sequence was about, oh I dunno, about one hour longer (with no diologe) and I’d buy that DVD tomorrow. I do feel however, that the pace could be sped up just slightly in some instances. Oh and the empire rules, I don’t care who the oponent is the empire would kick everyones ass. Period. lol
