I have never… nor will I ever forgive them for the animated Transformers movie atrocity that was perpetrated on us 20 years ago. Those BASTARDS killed off ALL of the Autobots and Decepticons that we knew and loved and replaced them with new toys to sell in the first 5 minutes. Will never forget… will never forgive.
And now those bastards are just reminding me of the sin the committed against us. Look at this cover for the Transformers 20th Anniversary DVD. Yeah… it’s all the characters we loved. But they’re only in the first 5 minutes!!!! What a bunch of jerks. False advertising at it’s worst! There is a second cover with the newer LOSER characters that they tried to push on us… but who cares. (Thanks to the guys over at Filmrot)

Thundercracker was BLUE, not PURPLE. SKYWARP is Purple. The jet on the left is Skywarp. Not to mention, JAZZ WAS NEVER KILLED ON THE MOVIE. I don’t know who said that but you said it. Is there a real TRans-Fan in here? Anyone?

Do I sense a bit of angst here? Maybe a little anger? I’ve never seen the movie but I’ve heard more than one, now adult, guy say that they cried. Yeah. I’m going to have to see this.

omg it was just such an eye-opener. basically when i was just out of the womb, u probably have reached puberty and already started-no let’s not go there. no wonder i dunno shit about transformers, it was popular before i was born. and i thought i was just ignorant about comics.
the transformers movie is fucking awesome.
I remember having my mind blown when they killed off a ton of characters…..I couldn’t believe but I fucking loved it…
I only got into Transformers a few months back. I didn’t see this movie yet, but I’ll buy the sexy 20th anniversary edition. I can’t believe most of the auto and decep’s die. Doesn’t Hot Rod take over or something? I like Mr. Rod.

Thank you for re-assuring me that i’m not the fanboy I once thought I was. You’re right, some of the characters on the cover DID in fact die in the Transformers Motion Picture. However, let me gain some of my fanboy-ness back here…both Grimlock AND Bumblebee survived…Jazz DID in fact survive…and finally, you didn’t actually mistake BLASTER for IRONHIDE on the cover did you??? GASP! Did YOU even see the movie? With a name like ‘Darth’, I expected much more from you.

Jay, did you even see the movie? Optimus, Megatron (rebirthed as a different character), Ironhide, Star Scream, Jazz… they all buy it. I can’t remember about Grimlock… but I think the only people on that poster who survied are Bumblebee and Thundercracker. But I’m not even sure about Thundercracker.
In danger of exposing a little bit of my fanboy-ism, I would like to point out that every character on that cover not only lived, but were featured predominately throughout the film.
