More Hulk 2 news. A rumour started flying around the web the other day that David Duchovny (of X-Files fame) had been selected to play Bruce Banner in Hulk 2. This rumour has turned out to be totally false. In the question of “Is taht good news or bad news” I’ll leave up to you to decide for yourself… but….
Personally I would have loved to see David Duchovny in the role of Bruce Banner. Some people are pretty down on Duchovny as an actor… and I was too… until I saw him in Return To Me. He showed me something in that movie that I didn’t think he was capable of (Oh man… the scene where he comes home for the first time after his wife dies in the hospital and colapses on the floor in tears just blew me away!)
So no… no David Duchovny for Hulk 2… but I wouldn’t have minded seeing him in there.
Pay Bana a king’s ransom to get him on board!
“Return To Me” was underrated I thought, and I also enjoyed that film.
Darren, you have a point there about Timothy Hutton, I guess it was just a case of being in a bad film, then your career had to suffer, I didnt see “Evolution” either, was Duchovny any good there?
I didn’t care much for “Playing God” either, but the fault of that film was more on Timothy Hutton than Duchovny . But, “Return To Me” was a great little drama-comedy chick flick.
Everyone was great in that film.
I’m happy that ‘Hulk 2’ isn’t going right to DVD. that it will be theatrical; I’m hoping Eric Bana, Same Elliott and Jennifer Connely will return as well. But…as for Duchovny, if he isn’t in X-Files 2, I would dig it if he did show up in ‘Hulk’ as a supporting actor.
That’s probably good, I wasn’t particularly looking forward to him as Bruce Banner — maybe because I’ve never been a big fan of the Hulk. Although, I enjoy him, and probably would have watched it just for him.

I didnt mind Duchovny in X-Files, but did you see him in “Playing God?” Oh I cant stand it, that ended my love affair with him. Saying that I was toying with the idea of Duchovny playing Robert Langdon, he has that kind of look.
But then again, to me, Bana was believable as Banner, its a shame if they will not ask him to come back.
