Ghost Rider delayed

GhostRider.jpgThis news passes me by like a light breeze, I don’t really mind that the Ghost Rider movie is being moved and it’s release date is now February 16th 2007. Frankly by then I might have forgotten all the bad press about it, or perhaps I just might not even care.

Coming Soon carry the story from Variety.

“I think everybody is looking at their release schedules in ’06 and trying to avoid some of the traffic jams,” Sony vice chairman Jeff Blake told the trade. “Seven films for a summer is a lot.”

So it’s just being moved to allow room for other movies next year. Perhaps, perhaps not. Anyone actually cut up about this?

  1. i don’t understand getting a 40 year old man with a wig to play johnny blaze. screw cage. why not get a younger guy. he has a fucking ghost rider tattoo. cmon.

  2. Are they moving it to 3 months before Spider-Man 3 to remind people what really really awful superhero movies are like and kill everyone’s enthusiasm, just for SM3 to show that there’s still hope.

Seriously who gives a rats-ass about Ghost Rider.

  3. Yes. Yes. Yes.

    Yes. Yes. Yes.

Who do I write to protest? Sony should stick to release dates. Ghost Rider was on the schedule for August 2006. At worst, they should move it to October 2006.

    Very Angry…

    Boooo…Boooo…Boooo…Boooo…

  4. February 16th 2007? Ouch. February is the month movies go to die. It sucks since Nic Cage was basically born to play Johnny Blaze. Pitty it wasn’t a better movie.
