Lady in the Water trailer online

MNightShyamlan.jpgM. Night Shyamalan has been quite quiet on his latest production Lady in the Water, until now that is and the release of a teaser trailer.

You can have a look at it over at the Apple site through Cinema Blend in all the usual glory, including High Definition if you so desire.

I’m a bit miffed I didn’t log on this morning before I cycled into work and caught this. I’ve now a good ten hours to wait to see it. So enjoy, and let me know your comments, at least I can read them while at work.

  1. The trailer itself might not be Shyamalan, but its beautiful none the less. the music and the execution was to throw you off the cliche supernatural trailer themes, i got chills down my spine when they revealed it was really him who’s doing the movie.

i can tell its gonna be different from mainstream films, looking forward to seeing it.

  2. I was really excited after watching the trailer before Harry Potter; it seems like M. Night Shyamalan always gets negative reviews, but all of his movies after Sixth Sense were very underrated. You may not like his style but his movies are definitely different from the norm; I’m a huge fan.

  3. You know, it’s that kind of ridiculous fawning over-hyping that’s gonna impact negatively on this movie.

Now when they were talking about pretention, were they talking about M. Night or his rapidly emerging rabidly Browncoat-style fanbase?

  4. I’m hardly the type of guy this thing usually happens to, but I have to admit, I teared up at the trailer. Seriously. It got me good! Saw it first at Harry Potter, then again online. Same reaction both times. Kicked my non-womanly ass all around the room. I’m hooked!

  5. Wow, I was very excited to see this peice at the Harry Potter movie. And I was ready to leave after I saw it. Not out of disgust but out of sheer amazement. The cinematography in this trailer is beautiful. I especially like the shot from above when Paul is writing. Inspiring. =D

  6. Hey, I liked the Dukes of Hazzard movie…was fun and nostalgic to a degree. I think the Lady in the Water trailer was excellent. And if you listen at the end, there is a spoken hint of typical M. Night proportions.

  7. I thought this teaser was magnificent. the choice of songs was incredible and I don’t think it was used superfluously as stated in some of the posts above. I think M. Night did a terrific job in entising the audiences and the ones who think other wise, the Unrated version of Dukes of Hazzard is coming out on dvd…enjoy.

  8. Seen it now. I’m intrigued too…I think it’s nice when a trailer\teaser does that rather than tell you the whole story.

Anyone notice the Il Postino theme at the beginning? That’s a beautiful song, and a beautiful movie.

  9. I was at Harry Potter in NYC last night and they are running the trailer. I liked the cinematography a lot, especially on the big screen. It doesn’t let you in on much, as usual for his films, but I must say it got me excited.

  10. Unlike Richard here I was still at home when I saw this post of his about the trailer and was in full anticipation to see it but I have to download Quicktime for some reason. Now I am running late for my class, my PC froze and couldnt see a thing until I sort it out when I get back home later tonight.

    Some genius! LOL
