I know this isn’t “movie” news… but it’s my damn site and I can post whatever the hell I want! :)
Battlestar Galactica, the absolute best show on television in the last 5 years has been renewed by Sci-Fi for a third season which is really no surprise since it’s the stations #1 rated show. Solid weekly special effects, a dynamite enssamble cast, killer music and compelling story telling make this one of the most creative, and engaging shows I’ve ever seen.
But even though it’s highly rated I’ve been worried since it’s on a small station and has a prettyhigh cost-per-show production budget (asides from lack of huge massive actors salaries). So yes, I celebrate this news and wanted to share my joy with you all!
Ok, enough of that… back to Movie Stuff.
This show is super-duper. I’ve been waiting patiently to see how the season 2 cliffhanger pans out.
It’s certainly a great show.
Anyone know when season two will be on Sky in the UK?
well firstly, farscape was their number 1 show, and they axed it (budget problems etc), although they saw the light, made the miniseries, and once agin, all was right in the world.
secondly, although this is an expensive show, the bill is being footed by universal/nbc/scifi AND sky one, which is why we got to see season 1 about 6 months before you guys :) damn shame they didn’t do the same thing with season 2 :(
That’s awesome. So now they’ll *never* get to Earth, just like Matt Fox et al will never get off that island … ^_^
Now I have to wait until January for that season-hiatus cliffhanger to get resolved!
Great news. Have not seen the second series yet but the first series was excellent. Vastly superior to the original Battlestar Galactica series in fact which was rather dull and formulaic.
Thank the maker! I read an article last week about how Stargate and Stargate Atlantis were both renewed for another season, but there was no mention of Galactica. If you’re not watching this show and you’re a fan of sci-fi, (or just a fan of good televsion), you’re really missing out.
