Revolver London Premiere

Revolver.jpgSo you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t, as both Guy Ritchie and Madonna got booed as they attended the London Premiere of Revolver. From IMDB:

…because they refused to sign autographs for expectant fans. Jason Statham, the movie’s lead actor, spent almost an hour signing autographs and posing for photographs in the British capital’s Leicester Square, but Ritchie and Madonna paid little attention to the 2,000-strong crowd.

Personally I think they really should talk to the crowd and pay them some service, even if it’s just stopping and waving. However, they’re behaving like any other movie goer, can’t they just go in and see the movie without a fuss? What do you reckon? Should they have been booed?

  1. I think that people are really silly and stupid if they think they should get an autograph whenever they fancy it… So what if they were waiting 4 so long…if they didn’t want to they wouldn’t…didn’r they have anything better to do then just wait like fools…I like Madonna but really…

  2. There’s no automatic right to signatures (most of which seem to go on eBay anyway), and I can’t stand this belief that actors, directors, whatever celebrity figure automatically should give up their privacy for the rights of the public.

Saying all that though, they might have taken the edge off some of the bad publicity over the film by showing a positive side. Plus I’m curious to see the film and whether I like it (I couldn’t give a toss about the critics).

  3. Maybe they’ve been booed because the film was awful anyway? So I guess they deserved it yes. (Have not seen it yet though, just basing it on the reviews so far)

Cheers to the booers in Leicester Square then!
