The Jurassic Park films have gotten progressively worse and worse (the first one was amazing… second one was ok… third sucked dung), and yet I still have a fun time watching them. Yes, even the third one. The most important thing for the studios is that they all made money. Lots and lots of money. And if a running franchise makes money… you can bet your ass there will be another one. So here comes Jurassic Park 4 (or Jurassic Park IV is you wish).
Although filming hasn’t started, work on the movie is already well underway. The folks over at FilmForce give us this:
From the screenplay excerpts shown, it appears that the characters of both Sam Neill and Vince Vaughn are a part of the story. This confirms what we’ve heard on earlier occasions, that much of the original cast could get in on Jurassic Park IV.
I’m glad Sam Neill will be back. And yeah, this one will probably suck too… but I’ll still be there to see it opening day and enjoy watching it no matter what. What can I say… I’m a Sci-Fi junkie. If you’d like to see a larger version of the poster you can go here.
Neither the 2nd or 3rd were much good, but at least in the 3rd one you could see what was going on. Much of the 2nd one was filmed in the dark – they could have used plastic models or guys in dinosaur suits for all I know (could have been Barney). I hate movies like that.
Bah. The book is *horrible*. All these years later I still cannot fathom why folks defend the awful plotting and characterizations (“Hey…did you guys happen to use frog DNA?” Ugh.)
But hey, I really enjoyed JP III. The initial setup was lame, but once everyone reached the island, the situations and predicaments were FAR more enjoyable and exciting than JP II.

It was proven to be a hoax.
The first film is good on it’s own. But if you ever read the book, the film really sucks.
The second one was just side splitting funny (unintentionally)

The first 2 Jurassic Park movies ruled! The 3rd one was horrible, and they should have really chose not to make it. Now even if the 4th movie is excellent, we still have a horrible film in this quadology. I’m pissed at JP 3 because now if the 4th is good, I have to pretend the 3rd never happend, which may be impossible because of Sam Neils return.
