I first mentioned the new Jenny McCarthy movie Dirty Love way back in December of 2004. It’s not only a film she stars in… but also wrote. At the time I said that was a recipe for disaster. Even though looking at her on screen for 2 hours isn’t a bad way to spend the day.
However, since then a number of positive reviews have come out of some film festivals that have me curious. Don’t get me wrong, I still think it’s going to suck… but now I think there may be a possibility for me to be surprised. Who knows… we’ll wait and see. For now, the good folks over at M&C give us this little bit of news:
Jenny McCarthy’s next movie Dirty Love has been given a U.S. release date, the film will open on September 23…with international dates to follow.
When Rebecca Johnson (Jenny McCarthy) finds her gorgeous, model boyfriend Richard in bed with another woman, she decides to get even by going on a mad dating spree in an attempt to drive the two timing Richard insane with jealousy. But the plan backfires when Rebecca ends up going on the most disastrous dates in the history of womankind.
So there you have it. The questions will all be answered in September. I think I read there is a make out scene between Jenny McCarthy and Carmen Electra in it… so it’s probably worth the price of admission :)

I saw Dirty Love about a week ago. I thought it was pretty funny. It’s good to see Jenny McCarthy really making a career for herself.
I haven’t heard of this movie called Venice Knights. It sounds interesting, and I’d love some more info on it if anyone has any. What part does Kevin Love play? I’m really looking forward to seeing him in this new movie.

I Just got back from the second theatrical screening of DIRTY LOVE at the Beverly Center in West Hollywood.. THE THEATRICAL RELEASE VERSION IS FANTASTIC!!!!!!
I respectfully disagree with Roger Ebert and the Hollywood Reporter’s reviews on the film. To me, they are completely off base and not looking beyond the visual humor at the true genious of the film.
I played to blue eyed brunette male runway model and I am grateful that the editors and John Asher and Jenny McCarthy kept my brief cameo close up in the theatrical release version of the film!!!
My next starring role in feature is Venice Knights (those curious can Google “VENICE KNIGHTS”) I play a Venice Beach Surf instructor Bobby Parker who is the spirit of Butch Cassidy come back in a modern day surfing dramedy.. it stars Kevin Love, NY Film Festival award winning actor, Jennie Hughes, newcomer British/Welsh actress, Maile Stone, and Daniel Ligman.. Venice Knights intend to go to Sundance in January as Dirty Love did last year.
I am very grateful to John Asher and Jenny McCarthy and Pete Sutton for giving me, this good ole boy from Texas, my first big screen cameo in Dirty Love..prior to Dirty Love I have only been on TV shows. aside from indy film festivals.
So if you guys are reading this Thank you… maybe we will work together again in the future..

Ok, No makeout scene between jenny and carmen i saw it and walked out of it at L.A. screening. There’s a reason Variety, the most honest unbiased reviewer, gave it a big thumbs DOWN and slammed the bad acting especially hardly seen electra. don’t waste your money or your time with this bad cliche. unless you want to see joke after joke bomb.
I played the Blue Eyed Brunette runway model in “Dirty Love” one of Victor Webster (Richard’s cohorts).. John Asher and Jenny McCarthy are a delight to work with.. I am sad that they have filed for divorce..
Not sure if the theatrical release version will include my part in the film..you never know..
It is a great film not just pretty to look at but with a message with great acting..

This actually sounds promising, i’m looking forward to seeing it. Jenny McCarthy may have done some raunchy things in the past with Playboy; but she has a good sense of humor and has earned a lot of fans over the years. Almost everyhting she has done outside of Playboy just hasn’t worked, this movie could very well make her a huge celebrity name.
All stars start off small, (no duh right) but do dsomething in their career that makes them a huge name and a must have for filmmakers. Thomas Haden Church for instance has never found a role in which his name was made big for his great acting skills. And then Sideways came along and now he is doing a western movie and Spider-Man 3.
Sorry for the crappy comparison, I know Church never did the things McCarthy did, but you get my point. I think the reason most people don’t take her seriously is because of her past with Playboy. But unlike Pamela Anderson and others, McCarthy is more worthy of greater things.
Or maybe I think this way because I am a fan of her, who knows?
