Aeon Flux Poster

Flux_Poster.jpgAeon Flux fans have been pretty upset by everything they’ve been seeing coming from the new film so far. They don’t like the casting (I do), they don’t like the look (I do)… and in that vien I’m sure they won’t like the new posters that have come out either (but I do).

Here’s a synopsis of the story from the official site:

Aeon Flux is set 400 years in the future, when disease has wiped out the majority of the earth’s population except for one walled, protected city-state, Bregna, ruled by a congress of scientists. The story centres on Aeon Flux (Charlize Theron), the top operative in the underground “Monican” rebellion – led by The Handler (Frances McDormand). When Aeon is sent on a mission to kill o government leader, she uncovers a world of secrets.

Personally I think this project shows a lot of promies. And hell, I’m up for seeing anything with Charlize Theron in a tight black body suit. To see higher quality versions of the posters you an go here.

  1. Jim-the-grim, it’s all about the moolah. Hollywood is about makin’ the dough, and you should know that. With a PG-13 rating, younger teens(12-15) will flock to the theatres to see it.

I can tell you’re a die-hard fan, and i’m not disagreeing with you about the fact that the movie will suck. I think it’s going to be an epic flop similar to Catwoman. Think about it, movie makers came up with a script that deserves damnation in hell, and offer a TON of money to the previous year’s best actress winner. History is repeating itsself. prepare for a stinker!

Also, don’t you dare diss Theron! Did you see her in monster? She’s one tough actress.

  2. With 500 strip joints nation wide, with 4 million internet porn chicks, holloywood neo-conservatives decided to force a ninja-turtles/rugrats version of AeonFlux on us, and rub it in our faces. AeonFlux is a hot chick that wears a couple of gun holsters, seven belts, and some ancient Egyptian soulder-neck cover, that is it. She interupts people in the bathroom while they are taking a shower, or taking a dump. She strips butt-naked to cross some spritual swimming pool to reach her ferry tutor, and she does not shy from the most extreme gorish graphic methods of killing, yet torturing her enemies, and we watch her doing it in slow motion. In her premitive form, she has no clothes, no mouth, no hair, and a space for a huge erected pinus in her guts. So, one advice for the stupid hollywood producers, and to Charlize Theron who want to cover her tid-bits; If you cannot stand the heat, get the F@#$ out of the kitchen.

  3. Well, you must suck at your job, man.

Those posters are way cool, raw, sexy, and edgy. The drawing on the cold concrete of Aeon logo, and of Aeon herself, gives perfectly the idea of something uncontrollable, and against society rules. Not to mention that Charlize is way HOOOOTTT!!

The footage of the film is also impressive. I’m so tired of sci-fi movies that looks the same. If the footage reminds me of something, visually, is a sort of cross between Minority Report and Equilibrium.

I also find intriguing the spare environments, and the use of colours, not to mention how the whole thing seem deeply inspired by episodes of the show like A Last Time For Everything.

I’m so tired of so-called fans, who watched The Matrix one too many times, and who thinks that Aeon was about a woman in a stripper outfit fighting off the bad guys. It was so much deeper than that. The movie seems to try to get to the core of what was Aeon. They may succeed at that or not, but it’s great that at least they try.

Hey, after all this movie is directed by a Sundance winner.

  4. Hmmm…Unfortunate…Everything being presented so far looks ‘CHEAP’- The poster designs seem amateurish in the worst way (*note: I’m a graphic designer for a major media design firm in NY and I’ve seen way better) – From looking at the unimpressive selections of pics in the ‘Gallery’ section of the site, the lighting & scenic choices (ie, outdoor staged/close-ups + daylight-lit stageshots) tells me we’re in for a major disappointment here (Daredevil/Punisher/Catwoman) – Let’s Hope Not! – MvX

  5. Everything I’ve seen about this flick looks average. The poster is good, but nothing special. The first images coudl work for a B-movie and the first live images just doesn’t make you sleep YET. What has struck me is that the character of Aeon is so sexy and outrageous, but the movie itself will look so dull with not even a hint of profanity, a naked butt-cheek or even a bit of bad language. As if they took everything in account to have a tolerant film-rating. This film should be remade the moment it comes out of post-production, straight to DVD. Wait, nooo, better yet, we should forget about this whole Aeon Flux filmversion. The animation wasn’t that good in the first place.
