Aside from the remaining big 3 (Batman, Guide to the Galaxy and the grandaddy Episode 3) the film I’m probably most looking forward to in the coming months is Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
Over the last few years I have become a huge Brad Pitt fan (top 10 actors of our generation) and also a pretty decent Angelina Jolie fan as well. Put them together, and you’ve pretty much got genetic perfection. For those of you who may not have heard of this project, here’s a little synopsis:
A sexy, action-packed thrill ride about a bored married couple who discover that they are enemy assassins. John and Jane Smith are an ordinary suburban couple with an ordinary, lifeless suburban marriage. But each of them has a secret — they are actually both legendary assassins working for competing organizations. When the truth comes out, John and Jane end up in each other’s cross-hairs.
I think this premise has loads of potential, especially when you’ve got the leads cast so well.
This film also reminds me a lot of my favorite Arnold flick “True Lies”. And now that I’m looking at the poster again… I’ve have to ask out loud… Exactly how long are Angelina Jolie’s legs?!?! Wow.
Add a dash of influence of Infernal Affairs too. No surprise since Brad Pitt and company are producing the remake.
Like True Lies and Bad Boys 2… but PG-13!!

Yeah, it definitely sounds good. Also liked the first trailer which came by couple of monts (?) ago. Seemed very solid action movie with comedical aspect. Pitt is one of best actors of his generation, yes, but he should make more serious movies (Seven) and less “just fun to watch, no one will remember when 5 years past”-films. Jolie, well, not so hot as everyone says and can’t see the actress either.
But I think this movie got good chance to be solid 3√ǬΩ-4/5-movie with lots of fun. I’m looking forward to it, and hoping it to be something like Bad Boys 2.
